If your Diff. is making noise there is a problem. Thicker lube is only a Band-Aid. You may have scored races or a bearing going bad, or even a chipped tooth. Pulling the cover and checking things out is the way to go.
I have been changing my own oil for over 60 years. From drop in dry filters to our spin on filters. I always lube the seal and if possible add oil to the canister or filter itself. I cannot ever remember having a leaker. JMO.
I changed my oil in my 2024 GT Premium yesterday at 4,000 miles. The oil looked like it was in the engine for 20,000 miles. It was totally black. It was hard to believe and I was glad to have changed it. My thoughts on this question , change your oil sooner rather than later. Your engine and...
When in doubt replace the hardware, it's cheap insurance in the long run. I always replace and blue loctite brake caliper hardware. You pay almost 50-60 thousand for the car, don't cheap out on hardware that may fail due to being stretched too far.
If you are on a budget, Your best move would be check the classified ads for a STOCK take off system. Replace the entire system that is on your car now. And go from there. You should find a complete system at a good price.
Do what is best and affordable for you. if it were my car and at this age. I would replace the brakes and rotors as well as the hardware. Shop around for a good price. Brakes and tires are the only thing between you and the road.
This is what I would do. After settling on the ground, I would loosen (Break) the torque on the bolts in question. Then I would properly torque the fasteners to factory spec.
It's easy to say anything from the keyboard. The first thing I would do is wet down a section of roadway and drive through it to see if the car TRACKS straight. If so then there is most likely no alignment damage. Then I 'd put her up on a lift and go over the body seams and subframe connection...
For what it is worth I never liked the SCT Scanner. It was nothing but trouble and left me stranded with a no start problem why back when I installed a Boss 302 Manifold on my 2011 GT and tuned it. I wouldn't stir paint with one. I contacted SCT and they wanted me to send the unit back for...
I have been thinking of opening the closed ends of my grill for some time. (2024 GT) but I keep wondering WHY Ford closed them off in the first place. There has to be a good reason or the entire grill would be open. I just don't want to compromise any air flow to the radiator. And you say?
They are just vacuum hoses. Fabricate them yourself or get a friend who knows how to help. You can do this and make it look stock. H/F sells all the fittings you will need.
