Changed my oil on Friday. I usually pre-fill the filter but this day it was hot, I'm already under the car and the oil was in the house. Lubed the seal with old oil and screwed it on. When I started the car it knocked for a second or less, when I pre-fill I don't get any knock.

Is the belt routed correctly around the pulleys? Should be able to find a diagram in the owners manual.

I don't have any vibrations at all with the same parts installed. I do still have issues with 2-3 shift at high RPM's.

I have a log book I bought online just for this. Just write the mileage, date, what was done, and by who. The only receipt I keep is for the battery. I do 99% of the work myself.

If you have an exhaust leak it's past the cataclysmic converters, H pipe isn't the cause of your misfire.

Most likely grease that oozed out that dirt and brake dust stuck to.

I think on my car only one side was like that, it had a weight bolted on that side. I just threw it in the scrap dumpster.

Pulling the car out of the mud using the wheel could easily do damage, at a minimum get the alignment checked, that would easily show damage.

I would also pop the tops off the battery and make sure acid level is over top of the lead plates inside. Once they start to be uncovered the battery charge goes to shit also. I just use water that my basement dehumidifier collects.
