I've spent a pretty good amount of money on my car (although less than some other builds that got a little out of hand), but I don't regret it. Sure that money would be better spent somewhere else as far as monetary value or investment, but it sure wouldn't be as fun! Gotta live a little.

Correct. MGW has an adapter you can use for the stock style shift knobs.

Mine is on an MGW. Just have to use the adapter and it works fine.

The problem with your analogies is the effort may be more to do those things but there's a vast difference between them. There isn't a vast difference between 2 quality aftermarket grilles, one is just more difficult to install, so there's no big payoff at the end. I'm not knocking Cervinis...
