It would also not be long drawn out if you weren't adding in misinformation about which style of top mount is adjustable and which is not. Watch the vid, learn something.
pins thru the empty holes???
that other pic isn't my car, but if you look at what's in the opening where the top of the strut goes thru, then you will notice that your strut mount is significantly different than the one that the other guy posted. watch the video link i sent. yours and his...
i don't think the part number sticker is always visible, but not certain on that. here's a pic of the part off the car, so that you can understand how it allows the strut to slide when the nuts are loose...
those look like the adjustable ones to me. jack it up, loosen the 3 nuts (do not remove them though) and see if the strut moves inboard/outboard. it takes some effort to move it even with the wheel off the ground, maybe mark where it is currently 1st unless you live very close to where you...
If I liked the c8/z06 cosmetically, i'd have gone that route, but I'd rather have a C7Z even if it's slower haha. Will be interesting to see how they last for sure!
yeah, just stupid long wait and delay after delay on production and certification... I think for what i want to do with the car the evora is a better fit anyway, but may switch later if they offer a bit more track oriented spec on the emira.
Thanks! a buddy had a virtually identical one back in '21 and I was fortunate enough to street drive it and ride along on track and it has been on my mind since. I had a deposit on the emira for way too long and this car came along with ohlins and j-hooks and some other little interior carbon...
"better" is subjective... but a diff experience.... if I had room and time to maintain another car I'd keep it but I prefer to have less things to take care of these days.
75+ track days.
So if you look up rebuild intervals on factory race cars, this car didn't disappoint in that respect, but it's also never been actually raced either. Never been on slicks/hoosiers, just 3 days on sc3r and 3 days on the gt350r cup2 were the grippiest tires that have been on...
Mine must have been one of the 9 mentioned above, it was delivered to the dealer on 1/11/24, and was finished on 1/23/24. waiting for dry roads next week to pick it up.
edit, timeline for any that care: dropped at dealer on 10/21/23, diagnosed on 10/31/23, ford approved and eng ordered on...
I had no eta till today lol, it just showed up and service mgr sent me a photo of it. They didn't know it was coming either so it's a weird situation all around
and my car was there sometime in october, but backlog and diagnosis before ordering took some time too.
My vote is generally do whatever brings the most joy as long as its not completely stupid/dangerous/ or financially devastating haha.
I suspect the engine shortage is a byproduct of the strikes maybe, and nothing has completely recovered from covid really either, but I'm optimistic that those...
I’ve had a vct solenoid break from its mount and threw a p0024 code which is similar ish. Wiggle the harnesses at the front of the cam covers, if one moves that’s the issue. Easy fix if that’s the issue.
