I'm not familiar with what can be done on a 2023, but have you looked into using Forscan to defeat the stock EQ settings? Also, if the speakers in the Mach 1 are the same as my 2018 GT, they're basically trash.
I did the Forscan mod and replaced the stock speakers with the PowerBass OEM...
Clunking could be a tie rod or ball joint. You can try squeezing ball joints with a big pair of channelocks and see if there's any play.
For the battery, there are 2 procedures. You can either use Forscan and tell the car it has a new battery, or you can install the new battery, fully lock the...
I've had my 2018 GT for about 3 years now, and this winter I plan to finally get around to swapping my 3.55 diff for a 3.73 Torsen. It's gonna be a project, so I'm wondering what else I should do while I'm in there. So far I have:
Steeda diff bushings...
Beauty in the eye of the beholder, etc, etc... but I like how mine has turned out. The rear wing is an Anderson Composites CF GT350 one that the previous owner put on, but the things I have done include
Blacked out the side mirrors and hood vents
19" Apex EC-7 wheels
RTR front splitter...
Lots of replies already, but I'm running
Steeda min drop springs
Bilstein B6 dampers
BMR sways
Steeda front X-brace
BMR CB005 rear braces
Overall, I love it. Sometimes I forget how nice it is, and then I drive a stock GT and I'm like "ewww". I live in the Northeast, and I don't find it too...
Standard for the flat stick I believe. I ordered it in 2021 or so and I *think* there was only one height for the flat stick. Not sure if that has changed.
Do you torque them to the full 150 ft-lb spec? I looked at these, but the construction makes me a little concerned. I couldn't find any max torque specs on the Gorilla site, so just curious how they're working for you.
Agreed that it could be a hung brake caliper. If it happens again, feel the wheels or caliper on each side to see if one is unreasonably hot. Obviously, use a little caution and don't burn yourself.
If it's not a caliper but on the driver's side, make sure the dipstick is fully seated...
If it's gonna sit for a while and you're worried about mice, in addition to repellent you should set up a bucket trap. Make sure to check it every week, but you need to eliminate them not simply discourage them.
The Mustang stays in the garage, but the motorcycles are in the shed. Nothing...
I don't have a convertible, but I went with the PowerBass units that are a direct plug-and-play swap in my 2018 coupe and I have no complaints. IIRC, the listing said they were also compatible with the convertible rears as well. The rear deck speakers are a complete joke, so anything is better...
Before sways or anything else, add the Steeda K-member brace. Also the Stop the Hop kit or the BMR CB005. There's little to no point in doing other suspension mods until you stiffen up the structure.
I have a 2018 that I bought as a Ford CPO in 2020 with ~27k on it, and it's currently coming up on 45k. Not a single transmission issue. I just changed the fluid to Motul DCTF as preventative/regular maintenance and it's fine. Never missed a shift, no lockouts, etc.
If you installed a CAI and you get this problem intermittently, check all the piping/clamps between the CAI, MAF, and throttle body. If it's happening at lower speeds, something might be leaking when the engine moves on the mounts.
I had a similar problem a long time ago on a VW GTi. In...
This is why I went for the Apex EC7s when I wanted to upgrade from stock. They had no qualms with stock lugs, recommend the Gorillas, and were just easy and knowledgeable to deal with. I'm sure they're not the only ones, but they're the only company that answered my questions.
Agreed. Did a little more research and I wonder if the wheel pattern is actually a 5x120 vs 5x114.5. loose enough tolerance could fit over the studs, but are definitely going to put bending stress on the studs as well. Just throwing things out there.
Lol. Put some stock rims on and see what happens. Most likely, whatever you're running is causing the issue vs the millions of mustangs that aren't having the same problems.
I'm not gonna claim *not* to be crazy... but did you just open up the car from it being off and time it? Or did you start it, shut it down, and then check?
I think it's a different shutdown timer if the car was running and then you shut it down. I know that I watched both that light and the...
