    Sync 2 won’t update

Nope don’t work that way either. Good Lord... I’ve built PCs and didn’t have this kind of trouble installing a stupid file. There is something corrupted on their end.

    Sync 2 won’t update

i’ll give it a shot, although Ford’s instructions do say to “extract/unzip the downloaded files to your flash drive”.

    Sync 2 won’t update

Thanks. Don’t think that is my problem since I keep getting a corrupted file even downloading it to my computer.

    Sync 2 won’t update

2015 PPGT. I have sync 2 ver. 5.9. I saw an update to 5.11 available when I entered my VIN at the Ford owners website. Downloaded the file successfully. The problem is extracting files to my flash drive. One file will not extract, and gives me an “unspecified error”. I have formatted to FAT32...

Can we have a funny meme thread? (NO POLITICS!)

I've used them. In fact, I still have to clean out my father's garage and I'm sure there's a can or two in there.

Exhaust - Go cheap or pony up the cash (Corsa Sport)

My opinion is that if you are on a budget, simply change the mufflers out and leave the stock resonator. You can always go back later and put in an X or H pipe if you want more sound. Roush, Borla, Corsa, top names. If you have the money and want to buy complete catback, spend enough to get a...

I removed an ac line bolt and it released all the pressure. Am I screwed?!

Didn't know about it being flammable, wow. There will probably be a phase-out of R134a at some point like there was with R-12, so going long term with an older refrigerant might not be the best course.

Owning up would be better. Don't have them crawling all over trying to find a non-existent leak. Like a previous poster pointed out, it won't work if you lost a lot of refrigerant. If it does work but not cooling well, then there shouldn't be much to replace.

    Maisto 1:18 GT500 at Costco $15!

Geez, all I need is to get hooked on collecting these, lol. I used to buy model trains and still have a bunch on display and in storage. I may tinker with those at retirement.

    Why Are Women Always Angry?

There's an old saying, "Treat her like a thoroughbred and she won't be a nag". Good rule of thumb, but keep that saying to yourself. She might think you are comparing her to a horse  mmhmm, you know what I'm talking about.

    Maisto 1:18 GT500 at Costco $15!

I had the lone McLaren F1 on my desk for quite a while. Now he has some friends. I have a DIB ‘15 PPGT, but I have been using it for car shows. I might retire it to the desk too at some point.

Any way to lessen the force needed to open the hood? Thx

I have struts and can still drop mine shut easily. Never even thought about that.

    Maisto 1:18 GT500 at Costco $15!

Thanks for the heads up. I just picked up the same Ford GT and a GT500 In green at Costco. They have the new Vette as well. One I want to go back and get is the blue ‘67 fastback.

Any way to lessen the force needed to open the hood? Thx

That doesn’t seem right. Maybe your hood and latch are genuinely not lined up with each other, or as someone mentioned before the hood adjusters possibly need to screw in a little. That might be the easiest thing to check first.

CJ Pony Parts has an install video. It isn’t too bad.

Any way to lessen the force needed to open the hood? Thx

I have the Steeda lever because the factory plastic piece seems really flimsy to me for the force required to pop the latch. As far as closing the hood? For any car I have over owned, I always let the hood drop to close vs. pushing it closed. It doesn't hurt anything, and in fact... like you...

    Running car with open headers.

I did that once way back in the 80s. Drove to the muffler shop with open headers on a 302. I went through the neighborhoods so that cops on the main road wouldn't stop me, and I didn't have to do a lot of revving. The looks I got  People were coming out of their house to see what was...

And I thought I was locking my car

I've done that when I've had an "oh crap" moment and can't remember if I locked it. Saved some steps.
