Yes, very slight difference. To me the MPS4S felt a touch more crisp on turn in during spirited driving. But we're probably talking about a less than 5% difference. I'd gladly trade that for the improved ride and quietness.
Also we should remember the MPS4S that came with the PP1 from 2018-20...
The ECS02 is a great tire. I replaced my stock MPS4S with them earlier this year. It feels very similar, maybe a tiny bit softer. On the plus side, they ride smoother, are quieter, and seem to have just as much grip as the MPS4S, not to mention being cheaper and more available. As others have...
145mph on an empty highway during the peak of covid. It got up there so fast and was still pulling hard when I let off. It sucks Ford limits them to 155mph. I think they could easily do 170-175 stock unrestricted.
Edit: I'm pretty sure the V6's are limited to ~121mph due to driveshaft limitations.
I'm in the same situation as you. No complaints with the stock Brembos but I love the slotted/drilled look and also want to get 2-piece rotors for the reduction in unsprung weight. I'm considering the Baer Eradispeed and Steeda 2-piece.
Baer Front...
Thanks! That's another good point about the Conti's. They have no rim protection whatsoever, so you need to be careful near curbs. PS4S have a good amount of protection plus a more square shoulder which contributes to their beef.
I love the 6GR wheels, but beware their customer service sucks. I...
Correct. I like the look of the rear tire being a little fatter/taller than the fronts. Plus I've seen guys with 275/40 front and it just looks too tall imo. I considered 285/35 all around but don't like the look of the lower profile rear. The stock PP1 setup is 255/40 front 275/40 rear so you...
Got new tires and camber bolts installed. I wanted the same Michelin PS4S that came with the car, but they were out of stock so I went with the new Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02. I'm loving them so far! Handling is very similar, maybe a smidge softer, but the road noise is much less. Plus...
The tick is oil cavitation. This is why Ceratec almost always quiets the car down. I believe a Ford powertrain engineer confirmed this a while back in a facebook group.
I think a lot of people are confusing the sound with injector tick (which is constant, and only present the Gen 3) and piston...
Glad to see some are having better luck with their wait times! I originally ordered my wheels in November 2022 (was told 2-3 weeks lol) and just received them this past Tuesday on 6/27 and had them installed Friday. I got square 19x10 TEN spokes in Satin graphite and they look amazing, even...
