Yes that’s true. The oil pan is much better in 2000. I wouldn’t mind owning a 2000+ car at all, in fact I almost bought a 2000 before I found mine. Yours looks great
I’d like to see the proof for that, I’ve never heard that about the RT/10. I’ve only heard rumors of a 1999 or early 2000 (forged piston) ACR running an 11.3 stock.
You can catch a glimpse in the above video of my 68 mustang to the side. Manual drum brakes and just fixed the power steering this year. Obviously no airbags and lap belts only. That’s the car I learned to drive in. The viper is safety wonder compared to that car. lol. I wouldn’t mind ABS but I...
No it’s got 30k something miles on it, all from the original owner however. I bought from the second owner who only put 25 miles on it since he bought it ten years ago. They built 800 something ACRs total between 1999 and 2002. 250 or so in 1999, which is by far the best year to have as it has...
96-02 is a pretty major difference from the first gen cars. Especially the GTS coupes. The first gen cars are very unsettled. The second gen cars handle very well, have 50 more horsepower, and a nicer interior. If you drive both it’s a night and day difference.
It’s got headers, cat delete, 3” dual exhaust, custom carbon fiber intake, stop tech brakes. Other than that it’s stock I believe. May have a cam as it sounds a lot meaner than my friend’s 98.
Not sure on power, haven’t had it out much yet. It’s a quasi barn find, only racked up about 25 miles...
Had the opportunity to pull the trigger on a dream car a few weeks ago, 1999 viper ACR.
unfortunately this means my mustang will be moving on down the road. Thanks for all the help along the way, really happy with the way my car turned out, just can’t justify owning four cars right now...
So I just bought a viper with cat delete and straight pipes. Holy hell was it loud. First thing I did was throw an x-pipe on it. Now it’s bearable. Can’t imagine the coyote would sound good with a cat delete even with resonators as it is down 186 cubic inches to the viper and the viper even...
Correct. Not in the city itself but in the metro area and I do a lot of business in the city.
I also seem to just attract crazy unfortunately. 2 drive bys on my street as a kid and a couple years ago when I bought a house in a “rich” forested suburb further north (Oakland township) my fiance...
I got my Cpl after I had a gun pointed at my head in a liquor store. However, before it even came in the mail I realized that having a gun in that situation would not have changed anything because I was still best off just walking away like I did. Based on that I don’t routinely carry but I will...
Yeah it’s either 5000rpm or 5500rpm, definitely not 6500rpm. I think it’s 5000 but make sure you’re a few rpm over 5000 because if your foot slips a little and rpm’s drop below 5k during the shift sometimes it messes it up.
you can test it shifting kind of slowly and if the rpm’s shoot up you...
