in nearly 4 weeks i've texted my advisor 4 times and gone into dealership twice, once when I didnt get an answer, and today when he said it would be done. I dont think thats being a pest but I could be wrong.

No it has not. The last I heard from the dealership was Friday. I messaged my advisor earlier today and did not receive a reply.

On Friday the text I got from the service advisor is "will need to lower the transmission, keep the rental for now please". Hopefully this means they're warranting it, I didnt okay any such work, so i'm hoping thats a sign of thats the case, but could be wrong? not sure what you mean RapidRed...

yes but of course they're trying to say the aftermarket ball that I have on it is causing the issue and may void the warranty.

the ball is the only thing that is aftermarket. the shifter is stock. i took the OEM ball to the dealership today, and showed them that nothing his hitting the lockout at all.

it goes left, and at a point it says its in R and the reverse camera comes on but its not actually in gear. car is already at the dealership so cant try that.

no codes at all. interlock mechanism moves fine, didnt notice anything broken on it at all.
