  1. Mach 1 Deliveries in AUS

Looks like everyone is affected by hold ups. My initial delivery was early April (car built on 5-Jan) and is now pushed back to mid May. Dealer advised all Mustangs getting delayed with no specific info on why. Rumours 1. no trains from Factory to port (doesn't Ford run their own train...
  2. Twister Orange Mach 1 in Australia

Suggestion is these two cars are Ford Australia vehicles so likely to be used as press cars or demonstrators. Sequential number plates and not visible on the VicRoads database being the give away. One with Recaros one without...
  3. Mach 1 Deliveries in AUS

I can match that, as my '16 first batch delivery to Australia convertible was a wait of over 2 years from initial expression of interest!
  4. Mach 1 Deliveries in AUS

I ordered mine in early October and current advice from Dealer is April delivery, so you have done very well in terms of delivery!
  5. Shipping Track and Trace & Vin number

Yeah, nah... Tracking no longer allows wildcard searches etc so you need a Bill of Lading number (not forthcoming from Ford). Only way I've seen info on Ship is for you dealer to provide it from their VISTA system...
  6. Mach 1 Deliveries in AUS

I noticed they have already built 500 Mach 1 in the January so they are really shipping them out the door, all non-Handling Pack cars as they don't build any cars with Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres in the winter months as the cars won't run on the rolling road at the end of the production line or up...
  7. Mach 1 Deliveries in AUS

The Mach 1 stampede has begun! My car was built 5-January, still waiting for the Window Sticker to be available online, ETIS record is online, hence finding out build date (in the PTI module information it shows dates from car download after build) A couple of fun facts: - Fighter Jet Grey in...
  8. ETIS and Window Sticker Process

My Mach 1 was built 5-January so AUS cars are going down the production line at the moment, my Sales Rep has been flooded with info on cars being built, FYI I got a Ford e-mail last week telling me car was built (standard email with generic information), so far better communication than my...
  9. Mustang Mach 1 in Australia

I went to Goodwood Festival of Speed to see the Coke Mustang do the driveway and to see the car very! close up. Just after the Bowden's purchased it I think 2009 or thereabouts. Did see it back in the early seventies at Warick Farm when Moffat was campaigning it.
  10. Mustang Mach 1 in Australia

If you want a Mach 1 then should take up his offer to source a car for less bucks, unfortunately I didn't go that way, preferring to go with my trusted dealer and relationship to avoid the BS... John C does talk some crap but also has some gems along the way that are either helpful or at least...
  11. Mach 1 front lower splitter

It looks like all AUS cars get the suspension bits including GT500 rear tray but miss the wheels, front lip spoiler and rear spoiler, so spare parts shopping in April (even if OEM from Ford) to add the appearance items, lot easier than having to change something like gearbox for example.
  12. Mustang Mach 1 in Australia

My view, is wait until car production and then pick up the wheels, tyre pressure sensors and Pilot Cup Sport 2 tyres and magic happens. Ditto rear spoiler and front lip spoiller (although that makes driveways more difficult so you'd really have to want that extra).
  13. Mustang Mach 1 in Australia

Seems like the bits missing are wheels, spoilers and tyres. Much easier to acquire post purchase than a Tremec Gearbox or the heat exchangers etc. Disappointing they aren't included but that's what we get for being a small outpost the other side of the Pacific Ocean.
  14. Mustang Mach 1 in Australia

If you take US pricing of $57k approx for a non-handling package car and then add 5% import duty and 10% GST with an exchange rate of approx $0.70USD = $1AUD it does end up in the high nineties. User pays I guess... Makes an R-Spec look good!
  15. Mustang Mach 1 in Australia

Ford have brochure for download on website, most goodies included with GT350 manual gearbox (or 10 speed auto), omissions from the Handling Package appear to be wider wheels and Pilot Cup 2 tyres, Rear Spoiler with gurney flap and front splitter. Guess you could option them from spare parts in...
  16. RHD Mach 1 Mustang Debuts at 2020 GoodWood SpeedWeek, On Sale Next Year in Europe

Ford AUS have released info on website as does the NZ website. No details on spec or price https://www.ford.co.nz/future-vehicle/mustang-mach-1/announcement/?intcmp=bb-fnz-hp-fnz--new Car advertised on AUS TV coverage of Bathurst SuperCars. My dealer in AUS says 2021.25 model is all they know...
  17. Mustang Mach 1 in Australia

Mach 1 looks good, if they bring in the optioned with Handling Package will be a case of "shut up and take my money..." Jetfighter grey like the hero car in the images looks sweet, with GT350 now out of production. Why they don't do RHD in the GT350/GT500 mystery of the ages (along with Bronco...
  18. MY18 order times

In previous years Ford USA announce publicly the date of last MY17 production, the shutdown dates of the Factory whilst they re-tool for the new model and the beginning production date for the MY18 model. They do not announce when RHD production begins nor when allocations are assigned to AUS...
  19. Aussie Mustang - Oil change warning

I've had my GT for six months now and racked up 7,200km. This morning when starting the car I get a screen message saying "Oil Change is nearly due" with a spanner and Oil can logo. Aussie mustangs had a 15,000 km service interval I thought but it seems the car electronics are reverting to...
  20. Oz S550 spotted thread

Spotted a Triple Yellow fastback on the Logan Road Exit Ramp of the Gateway Motorway in Brisbane on Saturday last week sporting the double stripe black treatment. (Near the Glen Hotel at Eight Mile Plains).
