Small accident - Insurance or out of pocket?

Replacing the bottom grill is easy. Have you taken the front bumper off yet? That'll give you an idea of what the internal damage may be. That you mention recharging the AC.....why? If it damaged something in that system you may need to get it repaired regardless. Hitting animals tend to be...

    Stripped spacer lug nut help!

Never use an impact gun on those. Just asking for trouble :-\ I mean maybe for taking up the slack but I'd never use one on those for tightening/removing. Somebody had that same thing happen to them using an air-gun in a thread here....maybe 3 or so years ago?

    Stripped spacer lug nut help!

That sucks. Was never a fan of the nuts on the ones I had on my '15, but they were necessary for it to work. What did you torque them down to? I can't remember what the size was, but you could try whacking on the next-lowest size socket (especially if you swap from English to metric or...

    2018+ hood vents

Thanks for the info. I'd thought about plastidipping them but I'd worry the constant contact would eventually rub it off. I'll check into those.

    2018+ hood vents

Dammit, just when I think I'm done doing things....Black door handles would look pretty good on the silver. Hmm.

    Totaled? Advice/Discuss

You're still at fault for your own damage. You'd never be able to justify hitting somebody from behind unless you can prove they did something illegal or that it was something totally out of your control (and AFAIK insurance companies don't give much leeway and need irrevocable proof the person...

Dear friends, I am a novice. I recently encountered a problem!

Sure it's not just the turbo? Also, is this a new sound or has it done it the entire time you've had the car?

Console arm rest extension - 5 Spurs

Is this the only company that makes something like this? I'd like one (cheaper though) because I already installed a folding cupholder on the passenger side of the console. Does it fit snuggly, like will it move around if my arm is on it?

Should i rev match my 2016 GT CS 3.3 gears?

They're not suggesting it to save your clutch. They're suggesting it because of the whiplash. Yes, rev match.

    MT-82 and Barton Short Throw

Considering the existing TSB with regards to these manual transmissions, I would hope we're protected if something like a shift fork breaks.

Oil change warning after service at dealership

I wouldn't trust a dealership to do anything that's not warranty work, and that's only because they have to do it. I had an oil change done on my '15 at a dealership that builds and sells custom supercharged mustangs and their clowns forgot to tighten a filter one time and I was leaking oil. And...

    RTR Grille install question

Yes, I've done it multiple times. The only reason they tell you to take the wheels off is to get at the 2 10mm nuts holding the bumper behind the headlight. But it's much easier to get to those 2 bolts on each side from the top. And you don't need to jack the car up either. I leave the belly pan...

Any one with an MGW on a 18+ have 2nd gear downshift engagement issues?

Heh no worries, it's a common term for MGW shifters notating throw reduction.

Any one with an MGW on a 18+ have 2nd gear downshift engagement issues?

Wait...what? If he's got an MGW, it's a push-down for reverse with an adjustable lockout pin that is supposed to be correct from factory, but they explicitly tell you to double-check it before finalizing your installation. If it's improperly set, you'll have a lot of trouble with the 1-2 gate...

    Newer style Roush hood scoops

These seem like they're shorter. The AD/Ford ones have a lot of extra real estate on them. These look like a nice option though, but you'll likely get a great deal waiting for a knockoff on E-bay.

Any one with an MGW on a 18+ have 2nd gear downshift engagement issues?

I never have any issues with mine, but it's probably an improperly adjusted reverse lockout. I'm running the X-Spec. My lockout was fine from factory, I didn't have to adjust it. Not sure if it'd also be an issue with the type of knob and way it's being shifted? Knobs aren't weighted/too heavy...

    Newer style Roush hood scoops

I think the idea is the same but the design does look a bit different. I think the AD/Ford ones are flatter whereas those Roush ones have all 3 "vents" (guessing the front 2 are closed as well) sort of look angled....like they're laid on top of one-another. 2018+ hood vents Here are the Ford/AD...

    Brake dust on Rims

Same reply from Cosmetic Forum: Looks like rust coming out from the center hub and getting flung around the wheel. Pull the cap out if you can and clean it out with WD40. If you can't pop the cap without damaging it, you'll have to take off the wheel. Once it's clean, hit it with WD40 again or...

    Brake dust on Rims?

Looks like rust coming out from the center hub and getting flung around the wheel. Pull the cap out if you can and clean it out with WD40. If you can't pop the cap without damaging it, you'll have to take off the wheel. Once it's clean, hit it with WD40 again or a light coating of grease.
