Alright! I ordered both the LCAs and the tension rods. Now I just need to find a shop to do the alignment afterwards. I will do the install myself I think.
Just reading the SPL instructions now. It seems that some minor modification has to be made to the knuckle for the stud to fit through (apparently 0.05 inch too small). Did you have to do that when installing yours?
Yeah I'm debating what to do now. OEM LCAs with the spherical bearings are going to be around $500-700. But my car still needs camber adjustment (I don't have camber plates) so buying these adjustable LCAs would help me address that.
Seems I can get the SPL LCAs and tension rods for $1200 right...
I am looking to replace my LCAs because the bushing in my driver's side arm is toast. I was wondering if anyone is running either of the spherical LCAs from OP Mustang and if you have any reviews or suggestions. I attend 10 to 12 track days a year and the rest of the time the car is street...
Congrats on the car. Glad to see you are enjoying it. You will have even more fun on track. In terms of a parts schematic, you can simply buy a workshop manual. There are many sources online for this. When you actually need to buy a part just Google the part number and there will be a multitude...
Exactly. This is why I always wipe my hands on the seat and my pants before I touch the steering wheel while eating Cheesy Poofs. Helps keep the Alcantatarnara pristine.
So I still have not had any time to look at this in detail. However, I see there is a track event coming up in November and the weather doesn't look too bad yet. Would it be dumb to take the car to the track if it has a wonky LCA bushing?
My wife has a Caynne GTS which has a LiPOS battery. These batteries are failing left and right in 2 or 3 years time and people are stuck with the $4000 replacement bill because of bullshit provisions in the Porsche warranty. They want you to drive a certain distance per year or have proof of...
That's why I suggested going through the Virginia Attorney General customer protection division. It is free and Ford will be obligated to respond to the letter they are issued.
I get that. But they made the determination they made (on the basis of track paraphernalia and citing a purposefully vague clause in the contract), and now the onus and financial burden is on OP to prove that they are wrong. Whole thing is unfortunate.
This situation sucks man. I hate to say it but you probably made it too easy for them to deny your claim with all the track paraphernalia. Even though HPDE is a grey area when it comes to warranty coverage, they will take the path of least resistance and in this case it was to deny you based on...
I have had some early March and late October track days when the temperature for the morning sessions was in the 4-10 C (39 to 50F) range and it was sketchy. Basically you are sliding around for 90% of the session and by the time you get SOME temperature into the tire compound the session is...
VIR is my favourite track. You will have a lot of fun. Post some pictures of your tires, that way we know what they look like. What are the temps going to be like for the event? If below 50F I would consider something other than the SC2. I usually run my PSS on colder days. I've had some pretty...
Not yet. It was just too damn hot here for the last three months to do anything with the car other than change the oil while sweating buckets. Things are cooling down now so I will have a better look at things next weekend hopefully. Just came back from three weeks abroad so need to recover from...
