  1. At My wits end with tune and O2 readiness

I faced the same issue a couple years ago, albeit it was with an ecoboost. I had similar mods that led to this same problem, catted downpipe, CAI, tune, etc. When I first installed the downpipe, I had no tune and put the O2 sensors on like normal, which was fine for a while but eventually got a...
  2. Nice experience with tool warranty replacement

I guess they didn’t ask you what you were doing when it failed, and if they did I’m surprised they would warranty that lol.
  3. '22 GT Wheel(s) Locking Up When Parked After Washing

Yeah that’s pretty normal. It used to be worse for me because I’m in the habit of parking with the parking brake engaged, of course, but I’ve started to not use it right after I’ve washed. I’m sure you’ve noticed that after washing, the rotors and everything have a good amount of surface rust...
  4. What am I doing wrong???

I’m no expert with this stuff, but if you’re bogging and the tires aren’t spinning, I don’t see why the solution would be to launch at even lower RPM. I would think you’d want to keeping raising it and see what happens as far as getting better times, as long as you still aren’t spinning.
  5. Who has gone back to the factory resonator after installing an H or X pipe?

I’ll also note, while many with GT’s and AE are happy with X/H-pipe resonator deletes as well, I have seen more people complaining that the sound ends up more tinny or metallic sounding and not as deep when compared to people who do the same mod on the Mach 1 AE. Not sure if any of those people...
  6. Who has gone back to the factory resonator after installing an H or X pipe?

Wow you guys are all too old! Haha just kidding, but exhaust sound is all super subjective. I was happy with the stock Mach 1 exhaust, and still would be if I had left it alone, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t also be happy with changing things. First went to an H-pipe, and again was very happy...
  7. Dark Horse Brembo front and rear brakes on M1

True, most things are done to cut costs and I’m assuming that’s what happened here. But what’s interesting is the Pirelli Trofeo RS looks to be about $100 more per tire than the Michelin Sport Cup 2. I know that’s pricing for the consumer and I’m sure a deal was worked out to use them on the DH.
  8. Dark Horse Brembo front and rear brakes on M1

Pretty sure they’re 180tw, the same as the Sport Cup 2’s on the HP Mach 1. Not sure why Ford went back to Pirelli on the higher performance Mustangs like they did when the S550 first came out before switching to Michelin. I can’t speak specifically about the Trofeo RS of course, but my...
  9. Jack stands for winter storage?

My car is my daily so I can’t speak from experience, but if I were storing for the winter I’d get flat stoppers from race ramps.
  10. How many issues has your Mustang had (30k miles plus)

On my ā€˜17 Ecoboost I had almost 53,000 miles. A few issues, driver heated seat stopped working, Evap purge valve I fixed myself once and was replaced by dealer another time, common A/C issue fixed by dealer, rear calipers were partially frozen which meant that for a while my emergency brake...
  11. Kind of makes me rethink my use of FordPass

Just as Evolvd said, I find it interesting whenever I see these threads considering the ones posting them are using the internet. The information that Ford gathers from your car is nothing in comparison to what most of us voluntarily give up to use anything on the internet. The age of technology...
  12. Smart to wait on getting a S650 GT?

For one, your statement that S550’s have had almost 0 issues isn’t correct, no car is ever perfect. And while maybe Ford didn’t have to make major changes to improve anything throughout the life cycle, they definitely do make things better over time. I can’t say this as a confirmed fact because...
  13. Smart to wait on getting a S650 GT?

Not sure I agree with this statement. Engineering is always making changes. parts numbers change JXXXZ-5325-A-B-C-D and so on... Name a few on S550s. For one, your statement that S550’s have had almost 0 issues isn’t correct, no car is ever perfect. And while maybe Ford didn’t have to make...
  14. Smart to wait on getting a S650 GT?

I agree with you that there will likely be further discounts down the road, but if prices continue with the current trends then in a couple years thousands below MSRP could still be more than no discount right now. Hard to say for sure, I find it crazy when I see early GT350 window stickers that...
  15. Yet another "too loud with Longtubes" Thread. MACH1 Specific

I agree, and I would’ve been 100% fine leaving the exhaust stock if I were required to. But I guess I also just like being able to hear it more and since I had the opportunity to make changes I did. But I also understand why for some people it may just be too loud, not everyone likes the same...
  16. Yet another "too loud with Longtubes" Thread. MACH1 Specific

I guess it’s because I’m young, but I have long tubes (catted) and an H-pipe resonator delete with the stock active exhaust and absolutely love the sound. Before the headers I used to always drive in track, and even after them I was convinced I’d still want as much sound as possible. I will...
  17. Throttle House S650 review- first 30 seconds nailed it

Yeah, I’m 23 and I also do not at all like the iPad stuck on dash look, especially not in the mustang. Maybe I’m biased but I much prefer the look of the S550 interior. For one, I think the retro look fits this car much better than a modern one. And two, talking about the screen alone, just the...
  18. Terrible AC smell. Help pls

Stupidly enough, it’s not covered by a TSB. No idea why, because it’s obviously a design flaw being that it’s such a common issue, and that they continued using those flawed parts for several years knowing it was a problem. Luckily I had an aftermarket warranty that covered that repair, so I was...
  19. Terrible AC smell. Help pls

Yeah, sounds like your AC evaporator core is going out. I’m sure you’ve seen a lot about this, but it’s super common. I had mine replaced last summer on my 2017 also, and it was similar where is seemed to be working ok but I noticed a weird smell like that. Progressively got worse until the...
  20. Random Heat Shield/Insulation

Hi guys, requesting some help. I’ve been installing headers, and the other day when I was taking things apart, I saw this heat shield had fallen but I never saw what it came from, somewhere on the passenger side. When I look up the part number on google, there are no results. Any ideas?
