Geez, sounds like Ford is losing millions of dollars with these warranties! Seems like half the commenters have had the warranties more than pay for themselves. Could I still get one for a 17?
Ha! Thanks! We were having breakfast so could have very well been us. I really like the Watson roll bar in these cars. Something they should have done from the factory. There were some really nice cars again this week. Your Heritage R and the Raptor R were firsts for me.
163-Mile 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Heritage Edition for sale on BaT Auctions - ending July 13 (Lot #113,371) | Bring a Trailer
Another beautiful low mile Heritage R!
I got there about a quarter to 8. Had breakfast at Hello Deli. Then hung out at the show until about 10. Was at the Jefferson show. Would be cool to see you and one of your cars!
Got it out for a nice drive this morning. Attended a cars and coffee and met another guy with a CFTP 500. Nah, l don't think I can trade this for a Mach.😁
Ok, I will be back east Sunday for a couple of weeks. Will be back the last week of the month. I'll PM you my number. We could maybe meet up the last weekend of the month or first week of August.
I am very interested. I am currently in Albuquerque but we drive out to Las Vegas often. I won't be heading back for another month. It wouldnt be the first time I've taken a detour down to Phoenix on the way!
" Way better than a Mach 1" Thats exactly what my brother said! It's not a car I feel comfortable driving. I would never jump in and drive it across country. Worry too much about possible damage, wheels getting stolen or damaged, etc. The seats are not comfy and I could never spend hours in...
Oh I'm fine! I'm just mad at myself for not doing enough due diligence. Although at the time a Mach 1 was not available for comparison. The Shelby is a great car. Just isnt the right car for me. Sucks to have 65 or 70k of car sitting around and not being used or enjoyed.
Interesting thread. I was just thinking about letting my 17 R model go. I just dont drive it. I would much rather have a car I can jump in and drive across the country and not worry about the engine, the wheels getting damaged or stolen, etc. Also the seats are really uncomfortable. It's hard...
Did the same thing to my Shelby as the day before. Nothing. Same as the month before. Nothing. And the month before that. It just sits in the garage. Collecting dust. What a waste of money.
I'm curious to know how many or percentage of Shelby's with over 30k trouble free miles. We hear a lot about the failures but I'd bet it's still a small fraction of the total.
