Recaro seats YES or NO ??

Have Recaro's in my Focus ST and certainly like them. Since I purchased my Mustang off of the lot, and it did not have the Recaro's, I've found the premium leather seats to be fine, even on the track. Given the choice though, probably would have opted for the Recaro's in the Mustang.

Where might one purchase the FluiX Rear Differential cover should they want to give it a try?

    Rear Diff Cover

Have to agree. Sounds promising, but track event testing would be the gold standard here.

how much power are you guys running on the stock s550 block ?

Well, in addition to the longevity concerns, you're going to have to upgrade many other aspects, particularly cooling. Lots more HP's = way more heat.

Is this the first S650 test mule?

If you'll recall, Ford did the same with the S197 platform during early development of the S550.

This car is fast, but it doesn't feel like I'm going fast.

I think we would refer to this phenomenon as a well designed, well engineered car, taking into account all systems working in concert with one another.

Help me please: I have suspension mods but still feels meh

So true...and this has largely to do with ability, and more specifically being comfortable nearing limits. The best drivers because of their repository of experience can find these and operate there quicker and "easier" than those who are along the development spectrum.

2018 GT PP2 Rear Differential Overheating Issue

As mentioned in a prior, related thread, I'm a bonified novice, so the car currently is much better than the driver. That's why I'm developing a plan to adapt the car as I develop my skills.

Help me please: I have suspension mods but still feels meh

Well, I have to agree with TeeLew regarding the suspension design of the S550 being quite impressive in it's basic form. I didn't realize how much so until I found Edmund's S550 Suspension Walk Around tour. This engineering tour of both the front and rear suspensions and how and why they are...

2018 GT PP2 Rear Differential Overheating Issue

Thanks for the run down. As I become increasingly more confident in my abilities, I'm sure I'll be pushing the car harder, which will no doubt bring me up to the same limitations that you're currently experiencing. It would be interesting to uncover just how much difference a "similarly"...

2018 GT PP2 Rear Differential Overheating Issue

Matt, I added 19" x 11" wheels to my PP1, with 305/30/19's square and haven't noticed much of a difference from the 255/40 fronts and 275/40 rears it came with. The sessions I've run have been outside temps of low 80 to high 80's. Maybe this made a difference? Hoods with greater heat exhaust...

2018 GT PP2 Rear Differential Overheating Issue

Primarily use the car for the street and 30 minute or less track sessions currently, but would like to begin running longer events. Based on what I've read here and in other blogs, environmental conditions not withstanding, 20 to 30 minute sessions seems to be the limit before overheating...

2018 GT PP2 Rear Differential Overheating Issue

Hi Jay, love following your solution for this issue. Unfortunately, I don't have the skill set to attempt the wiring, or a friendly shop to make the mounting bracket, so I guess I'll opt for the Full Tilt Boogie option as it is less expensive than the Ford Performance option, and seems to get...

Help me please: I have suspension mods but still feels meh

Well, trying to be your own engineer will always be a challenge. I started with the PP1, which if one has any inkling they may want to track their car is the least of the factory options you'd want to start with. Second, contact a shop who has loads of experience with upgrades for the S550...
