that’s the plan. It’s a good benchmark, I want to go sub 1:30. A good buddy I met at the track has a 350 also, he has some suspension mods and has run a 1:25. Which is insanely fast. That was his fastest run. But he runs 1:28-1:30 pretty routine. So once he gets the 350 out I can play follow and...
Well while I was looking at catch can setups, I realized I already ordered these a while back lol. So I guess I’ll run them for a bit. Once we get the race motor dropped in. We will run a breather setup to vent out. These will do for now.
Had some fun yesterday. Glad I finally got to time myself and see how fast I am. Now I have a baseline to get better off of.
did a total of 24 laps
in 2 different sessions.
wow 1008 on 12 psi with 93octane! Is that pump 93?
that’s crazy how these motors with high compression put out that power.
how’s your setup running? Any hiccups? You road Race it at all?
Appreciate the input bud. I kinda like what you say about just running the RXT.
I think for at least the first year or so. If that clutch holds it will be a good investment. We’re talking like $5500 for the tilton, that doesn’t include the flywheel which is still in production and not out yet...
got an alignment scheduled for tomorrow morning so I can get some better traction tomorrow for race day. Back on the track at 5:30 tomorrow.
Also my antigravity battery came in. So ill
Be adding that soon.
Ok. Got the caster camber plates installed on the front. Weight was pretty much the same. Actually the steeda was like 3 oz lighter.
Also got the steeda adjustable rear camber arm on and the steeda vertical links in the rear. 4oz heavier for the vertical links. Steeda billet Camber arm was 4...
Anyone familiar with tilton clutches?. I’ve been chatting with Jeff Neal over there about a clutch setup for my car. Carbon discs all the works.
still haven’t heard back from Mantic.
Borla Atak system and carbon fiber drive shaft should be here soon. Ill
Be doing both of those shortly.
I just tracked the car yesterday pretty hard. I need to get these caster camber plates in ASAP, this thing needs attack alignment bad. Stock alignment is just tearing my tires up.
thats correct.
I can also order the hellion kit minus the turbos. I’m still looking into turbos and what make sense for what I want. My local Builder has a good relationship with boost lab, so we can get custom turbos made up.
I will check into the air cooled type, seems like they have grease...
here Ya go. This is dynoing our race setup. It made 1230 whp and 1050 ft lbs. we were pushing around 30 psi. Ran that for half mile competition.
For the street it runs around 21-22 psi and makes right around 1000 whp and 880 ft lbs of torque.
It hooks up nicely as well.
the plan is really Low boost for track setup. 5-6 psi.
I’m sure we are going to get higher temps. I will be opening the airflow up in the front grill area for sure. I’ve seen some ideas about adding cooling ducts to under the transmission.
the diff already has ducts.
ill be running some...
just not sure what it is that needs the additional cooling. People say it’s gonna get hot. But honestly. I’m not sure what’s gonna get hot. Engine, trans, diff.
we will see and then I’ll just have to deal with it.
I got an upgraded radiator. I got a heat Shield for the intake. If I need to...
