It's been a while, but i don't recall there being as easy of a connection directly on the battery vs using the terminals at the fuse box. Maybe I'm thinking of a different car though! do you have a pic of what you did?
Well there aren't many oems putting true fixed back race seats in cars lol, this is about as good as it gets if you aren't going to cage and 5/6 pt belts. I even prefer these to the porsche fixed back buckets personally.
I'm also in the camp that thinks the Recaros simply look better in the car, the comfy seats detract from the track ready concept to me, but I also bought it specifically for track use. I can see the appeal of the comfort seats if it's a daily or used in winter though, i've sat in them and they...
the tabs are just to alert you if the pads are low and need changed. I think common practice is to put those on the outside to visually see how close you are without pulling the wheels off... but other than that it shouldn't matter.
I'm planning currently to extend mine to 8 years w/ base care, and either 75k or 100k miles depending on how many i put on it in 2021. IMO it's worth it and I generally do not purchase any type of extended warranty for anything. There's no other cars on my radar I'd like to have more so...
only time i've had similar is winter with a car I parked outside... still had track pads on it and i think the metal content bonded/rusted to the rotor.. took a lot of throttle to break it free haha... no pulsations after though, but guessing the theory of some pad material sticking is likely...
for what it's worth, i've turned two sets of fronts now for track use to remove pad deposits, they are fine IMO to turn as long as you aren't removing crazy amounts of metal. Especially for street use I wouldn't be concerned, but I do wonder what caused it on your car w/ minimal miles, did you...
It'll be tough to stay under 5k with the car and a trailer. I went with s jeep gc over a exlorer sport for this reason... not sure how well it would behave going over weight.
Actually for one of my sets I use the lmr sp2 pp2 replicas in square and rotatable 19x11 50mm offset using extended front studs and a 1" spacer. barrel to caliper clearance is very good. I like the look of the 6gr 10's better though and the little scrapes from the caliper clearance being tight...
