I mean nothing really, but my first thought when I saw the puddle lights on my car was that I wish they were different from the GTs. Specifically "Mach 1" instead of the pony like I just ordered.
So when I went the morning was 3 different drills: no-lift shift & threshold braking, the wheel contact with the car on outrigger, modified small oval to stress looking through-ahead of the turns. I'm sure there are more technical terms for those drills but I'm a little slow and can't remember...
Yeah I don't really know much about tracks around the country but Charlotte seemed like a good mix logistically speaking. Not very far from a major airport and plenty of accommodations very close to the track. I'm assuming most major speedways are similar in those regards but am really guessing...
Yeah that seems out of character compared to everything else. Totally makes sense to ask for all that info. I bet they add some nominal fee for lost revenue based on how long the repairs take and the car is out of use. Pure speculation on my part.
I know exactly what curve you're talking about. That sucks. If you don't mind me asking how bad was the damage and what did they quote you for repairs?
So we asked this very question of the instructors. They stopped short of saying it's 100% a sure thing but they did mention that the current GT500 and Mach one track attacks would end at the end of the year. They said it was their understanding that the dark horse would also have a track attack...
When you're on the oval it's straight up walls. Nobody wrecked or rubbed in our whole class but the instructors said it happens. I would think the most likely cause would be following and not breaking hard enough going into a curve coming off one of the straight aways.
That's a fact haha. Our group was talking about it at the end. We felt like we were pushing pretty hard on the third run and then the instructor ride-along made us feel like grandmas.
After attending it is indeed sad sir. And I don't know if they did an instructor ride along for the GT500 but the Mach 1 ride was definitely eye opening.
If you can do it man I highly suggest it. I'll be honest I was a little on the fence at first but thank goodness I did it. So much fun. There was even a mix up as I have an automatic but they set me up for a manual and to be honest it was probably my fault talking to the other attendees...
it's been I a minute since I scheduled the date but I believe I just looked at the schedule on the website. Picked the dates that would work for me and called the number. It was easy and they just needed my VIN.

First of all, I know this topic has probably been covered multiple times, but it was such a cool experience that I just had to do another thread as I attended Mach 1 track attack today. Such an awesome day at the Ford performance school. If anybody can still go and is on the fence, I highly...
