Huh? I'd argue that the 15-17 MY looks the most like the Fusion (not that it's a bad thing since it shares some DNA with Aston Martin) while the 18+ went full on catfish.
The Mach 1 is the best looking non-Shelby Mustang in my opinion.
I don't think the GT350 (not the R) is as racecar as you think it is. Plenty of people on this forum daily drive it with no problems. Just swap out the Cup 2's for some more street friendly tires and you are set.
That's why I've been considering a MY2019 model specifically, since you still technically get the "gen 2 Voodoo" and all of the QoL updates without the seemingly faulty manufacturing issue.
Yeah, that's my bad. I know DOHC engines have been around for over 100 years, just assumed that nothing could be older than that.
But I still stand by everything else I said. LS motors are still dimensionally smaller and package better, and make more usable power. Sure they don't rev as high...
I love the Coyote, but I don't think it's really anymore advanced than an Hemi or the LS/LT. I mean the DOHC engine has been around longer than a pushrod and isn't as light or compact. I think GM has done well with their motors and they certainly have their advantages including better low end...
I'm looking to do the same trade as well with what seems to be an identical car. I even also have 56k on mine!
Although I wouldn't expect you to publicly admit you made a bad purchase, but would you say that the GT350 was worth twice the price of your GT?
Right, because the alternative wouldn't be a C7 GS, or a 1LE, or even a Mach 1 but instead a Kia.
The two people who posted before you left thoughtful insights and then you decided to post that abortion of a comment so thanks I guess.
Wrong. I am legitimately actively searching for a GT350, preferably a 19 or 20 because of the QOL improvements that were made, but am also worried about this "bad batch of valves" issue that I have seen a number of times. I know you guys can't see it since you're already in the bubble, but as...
Definitely not every measure, since the 1LE still objectively beats it in straight-line performance tests. But I suppose when driving on the track, the PP2 and 1LE are equal and differences come down to the driver. Maybe the extra 20 horses can nudge it ahead?
There's really only two accredited publications that have compared both cars, but here is the summary from Motor Trend.
The 2018 Ford Mustang GT PP2 is, indeed, the best Mustang GT ever. However, with outright wins in acceleration, figure eight, skidpad lateral-g average, a Laguna Seca lap...
I'm glad Ford updated the MT-82 with the D4, but the changes that were made were not in regards to durability. Only the clutch, gear ratios, and synchronizers were replaced to address the action, not to withstand more power. That's the whole reason Ford has a lawsuit on it's hands because the...
People aren't bashing it because it's made in China, they're bashing it because it is not a very good transmission. I know I personally had to spend almost a thousand dollars just to make mine tolerable.
There is a reason why Tremec is in every high hp American car with a standard transmission.
