hey Jason, I noticed the cvf street intercooler kit provided a washer for the oem bolt that holds the map sensor to the intercooler, but after swapping the map sensor over the bolt could barely thread in with the provided washer, so I ditched it. Could this be a problem/source of a boost leak?
I don't think the o ring is damaged since the car is only a couple months old, but I do remember the cvf street intercooler came with a washer for the original bolt that holds the map sensor in, but with the washer on the bolt could barely thread in so we ditched it. Could that be a problem?
Does something like turtle wax carnauba wax and dry do anything to protect the paint from sun damage? I've started to use that after my rinseless washes every week
gotcha, but also isn't afr supposed to go lower to the 12's when under WOT (from what I've read)? so if there's a boost leak it would be even lower than that?
not sure to both, it runs fine but I've been reading on the forums/fb groups that most people make 20lbs of boost even stock, and I have the ford performance tune.
I don't fully understand turbocharged cars, just the basics. I'm suspecting a leak since I was flooring it in both 2nd/3rd gear...
Honestly not that sure, I recently installed a new intercooler but we snugged the charge pipes down as far as we could and tightened the clamps down pretty tight. The turbosmart bov was installed a couple months ago, but I've also only recently being driving the car harder and paying attention...
Was pushing it a bit and noticed my boost never seemed to go past 15 even in 40 deg cold weather. Do I have to hit pretty much redline to see max boost of ~20?
Is there a kit to determine where my boost leak is? I found this but am unsure what else I'd need...
Can't seem to find the part # for my 22 ecoboost mustang online.
Looking to do my first oil change next week, wanted to have a spare plug just in case something happens.
found it: https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/plug-oil-drain-7874447-1?pdp=y
1. way louder suctioning sound
2. looks sexy in the engine bay :giggle:
edit: also my friend and I were able to install the cvf street in a couple hours, can confirm hardest part was just struggling with the charge pipes
forgive me for being a noob, but 2 rivnuts can hold a 2.5 lb fire extinguisher safely/sturdily like that? any worries of it bending over time or coming lose?
thinking of doing the same with this mount I found https://www.roughcountry.com/utv-fire-extinguisher-mount.html
Yep I heard that but imo it's a minimal difference, friend and I put some flashlights in the CAI and held the hood just shut and couldn't see any light coming out so the seal against the hood insulation is prob 95% as good as closed box
The sucking sounds are :like:
