Update on this, car has 4176 miles and had about 15 runs this past weekend on a longer/fast course. The outermost groove is just about gone now, but based on what Iāve read, the rest of the tire I think I can still finish out my next 2 events and pass 5k miles. This is Front-Top, Rear-Bottom.
I like it, there are āfancyā hardware to attach that Iāve seen, mostly appearance but some have security-type heads that require a special bit to remove. Just curious.
the deck lid is a bit large but looks better with the badge retained, I like small carbon accents,I think the gurney flap looks goodā¦but $500 is too steep š
They also let you Register before you even have the car, once you get a VIN assigned you can sign up - you just have to take delivery before the class.
I think it could be cool to organize something outside the class for anyone interested. I havenāt planned out the trip yet, the biggest question is if Iām driving up or flying.
Iāll be at the 2-day event in May, Iāve done 2 other Ford Performance courses with our STs at the Utah location, this will be the first one in Charlotte. Canāt wait.
Mach1 Track Attack 2-Day - May 10 ā 12, 2023
Picked up 10/1/2022, put 1500 miles on over 3 days driving it home from Granger, IA to Orlando, FL. Currently at 3871 miles. Car has gotten the Ford āTrack Specā alignment & 1 oil change, Iāve done one track day (FIRM in Starke, FL) and about 50 runs at local autox events. Iām pretty happy with...
yeah, I have driven every iteration from the old 215 to the 615, and the 615K+on a variety of FWD and RWD cars, for how I drive I really like them and their predictability at the limit. Looking forward to getting back on a Falken.
My first 2 trips out were a little slick, it was overcast and mid-60s, I had driven 2 hours there but the car sat parked in the grass for about 45 minutes after tech, and then drove to grid and sat another 15-20 at idle. I felt they came up to temp ok, but I will be replacing them with a 200tw...
got a bit of time in over the weekend at an SCCA autox/tracksprint event. Left a lot of time out there but more importantly got a bit more comfortable and had a blast. Another event next weekend!
I got the HP camber plates flipped and a more aggressive alignment dialed in at a local shop. Car was as delivered 1840 miles ago (1400 of that from the 3-day drive home). I felt the car handed well although Iāve really only started to push it in the last few hundred miles. I noticed the...
