I have a 2017 with 36k miles and zero issues. Doesn't burn any oil. I always recommend buying the newest car you can afford.

Navy Vet here too and I have wanted to use USAA for so long. All I ever heard was how great they are but every time I tried to get a quote for anything from them, it was always considerably higher than anyone else. I've been with State Farm for a few years now, I think it's time to shop around.

I have no clue but I believe Federal regulations require them to keep enough for 10 years from last production date. So they should be able to supply until 2030. I have a Gen 1 motor with 35k miles and it doesn't drink any oil.

This isn't entirely true. If you're out of warranty but have the dealer do the work, you're getting a new one from Ford.

This is my thinking, as well. Also have an '80 Trans Am I'm rebuilding. Having some extra funds for that will be nice.

Doesn't longevity equal more profit? They believe in the engines enough to give them a 60k mile warranty from the factory.

I'm pretty much waiting for Spring to sell mine. I think it's time to move on. It's been a great 6 years though!
