I remember back in the 90's, the Fox Body cars and their chrome Pony wheels. That was always a very classy look, no matter what color exterior. I do still like chrome wheels, but the style has to be perfect. I think with the Mach graphics and stuff, the chrome tames it down too much and some of...
Thank you! I appreciate the compliment. I didn't want the typical red or yellow. I went for Ford Grabber Blue. I love how it turned out myself, but I'm a lil biased, lol.
It's the BAP from Ford. I love it on the Silver! Wheels are 18x9 front with 22mm offset and 18x10 rear with 42mm offset. Tires are Nitto 555 G2 255/45 front and 295/45 rear. The calipers I had painted Grabber Blue by a friend who owns a body shop. I wanted something different than the normal red...
I can finally play in the aftermarket wheel game...ForgeStar D5 18x9 front 22mm offset and 18x10 rear with 42mm offset. Fitment is 100% flush. Tires are Nitto 555 G2 255/45/18 front and 295/45/18 rear.
Well, here they are. Even though you guys don't like them, they achieved the look I was going for 100%. 255/45/18 up front and 295/45/18 on the rear. Fitment is perfect on the D5s with no poke at all. Everything sits flush.
If it is a vinyl that is designed for high heat applications, like the brake caliper wrap material, it should hold up fine. Powder coat or paint would be best, but the vinyl might work ok. What are you thinking about? There were no pics to go off of.
Nitto may not be the tire of choice for some people and I get that. But blaming them for crashing at cars and coffee and other events? Come on man, seriously. That is 100% the driver's fault, not the tires. Some people try to show off and can't handle the power of their car, or they simply don't...
My Daughter's 22 made a ticking sound in the trans tunnel for a bit, but it is now gone. I was told Ford puts sound deadening stickers on these driveshafts? Apparently her either finally fell off or it simply tore the part that was hitting as it went around. I didn't put it on a rack to find...
I am sure there are, I simply have always run the 555s whether the first version or the G2. I am not expecting them to hook like a drag radial or perform any better than others.
I don't think a lot of people do actually. I just don't like the 20s. My car came with 19s but I want a drag look with taller/wider rear tire, so I went to 18s. I had this same setup on a 2006 Mustang and it looked good to me. Thought I would try it on this one.
Ok, so DT is going to let me send the 315s back and order 2 new tires. I am thinking about a 295/45/18. I want a beefy look to the rear without buying drag radials. I know they are a touch over 28" tall, but those should work, right? This car will not be on a track or anything like that, I...
