When I had my throttle body and mass air sensor cleaned, the problem went away for a bit, but then came back again. I'm still at the point of having the rough idle at a stop light when the car is hot every now and then, but so far, thankfully, it has not stalled or triggered a code. I...
My 2020 GT does it on both the passenger and driver's side. The work around is the following:
I wrap my four fingers around the door latch handle and then put my thumb on the fixed door handle portion. Next, I open the door slightly to the point where the window goes down, but the door still...
It's a shame that most dealerships are like this today. If there are no pending or visible codes, they assume everything is working according to spec. I might wait until the engine or transmission light comes on before I bring it in.
I have a 2020 Mustang GT Premium, California Special with BORLA ATAK. I had TSB 21-2357 done back on January 31, 2022. Since I did not have any codes, they only updated the software and did a relearn on the trans.
Lately, the transmission has been acting up again.
A few days ago, on...
2020 Mustang GT Premium, automatic with BORLA ATAK. It's my daily driver. Once the oil life approaches 40%, I get the oil changed at the dealership. They put in full-synthetic 5w20. I'm at 15k now and I have had 4 oil changes already since picking up the car in December 2020

The problem with dealers today is that if the car does not show a code, they will not bother doing any further diagnostic testing.
From what I remember reading on here, changing out the VCT solenoids is an easier job than the cam phasers.
I have this issue on my 2020 California Special. Like others have said, it mostly happens when the car is hot and stopped at a red light. Sometimes, it will happen a few days in a row, and then not show-up again for weeks. Luckily, mine has not stalled yet. When it happens on mine, the idle...
I understand your frustration. I question the quality of American cars these days.
The last 3 cars I have owned were:
2013 2SS Camaro - Not one thing went wrong with that car. I traded it in because the 5 year powertrain was up.
2018 2SS Camaro - worst car I ever owned. Six things went wrong...
I have a 2020 Mustang Auto GT Premium.
When I drive in Normal mode, my biggest complaint is it stays in too high of a gear and it feels like the car is bogging when I step on it. I don't think the lugging will hurt the transmission since its just following the stock, factory tune.
Update and possible band-aid solution.
I continue to have the idle issue show-up randomly at a red light. Thankfully, it still has not stalled or triggered any codes.
The last few times it has happened, I was able to counteract the idle drop by immediately putting the AC on. When the AC...
When my AC is on, my idle is higher. It also offsets the idle drop.
Hmm, do you think the custom tune and no catalytic converters leaned out your air/fuel ratio and fried your spark plugs over time? No sense in changing the spark plugs if the tune is off.
No, I have not watched the vacuum gauge when it happens. It just happened to me before. The car began to shake and I put the AC on, and it went away:)
It's a shame how these dealerships are. My rear rotor is grooved and marked. Yet, the other three are spotless. They refuse to change it for me...
