It's a shame that most dealerships are like this today. If there are no pending or visible codes, they assume everything is working according to spec. I might wait until the engine or transmission light comes on before I bring it in.

The problem with dealers today is that if the car does not show a code, they will not bother doing any further diagnostic testing. From what I remember reading on here, changing out the VCT solenoids is an easier job than the cam phasers.

When my AC is on, my idle is higher. It also offsets the idle drop. Hmm, do you think the custom tune and no catalytic converters leaned out your air/fuel ratio and fried your spark plugs over time? No sense in changing the spark plugs if the tune is off.
