    CO2 tax in France

It is actually exactly the opposite. Higher education and standard of living (especially for women) decreases birth rates. Many nations actually already have a negative population growth except for immigration. https://www.thoughtco.com/negative-population-growth-1435471

When accelerating car will rev up then drop RPM

Sounds exactly like a clutch on it's way out to me. Pretty low mileage though. Do you keep your foot resting on the clutch pedal while driving?

Star wars or Star trek, which society would you prefer to live in?

You are a random person who has no involvement with any of the goings on of the heroes (not a jedi, or in the rebellion or empire military / not in star fleet). Gotta follow the odds.

Star wars or Star trek, which society would you prefer to live in?

We are all entitled to our opinions, but I am entitled to this not liking ST IV makes you a double dumb ass! (love those colorful metaphors)

Star wars or Star trek, which society would you prefer to live in?

Second this - started off OK, but really ramped up through the season. The last 2 episodes were great. In a similar vein - the Orville is a great (non)star trek show.

Star wars or Star trek, which society would you prefer to live in?

Not sure if joking or not (or have only seen the new reboot movies "Kelvin timeline"). Star Trek IV The Voyage Home (Save the Whales!) is absolutely awesome and very very funny. The general rule for star trek movies is that the even numbers ones are the better ones (assuming you add Galaxy...

30's have been WAY better than my 20's. Hoping 40's are even better (only a few months away)

Star wars or Star trek, which society would you prefer to live in?

Statistically you have to assume that you will be a random nobody in either universe which is why I don't understand why anyone would choose Star Wars. Much rather be a random human on earth with anything I want and awesome technology vs. a random slave on Tatooine.

Star wars or Star trek, which society would you prefer to live in?

How is this even a question. In Star Wars, human live mostly like the old west with space technology. You also have an evil empire (or remnents of one) trying to grind everyone beneath their heel. In Star Trek humans live in an effective utopia where they can have anything they want and...

Student debt cancelation. Seems there are strong opinions against it from some.

My oldest is still waffling a bit on what she wants to do (leaning teacher, but not sure). We told her to do community college if she isn't sure since those credits will likely transfer anywhere and she can do that while living at home (and saving that money as well). I think that is a very...

Student debt cancelation. Seems there are strong opinions against it from some.

Not sure when your degree is from, but costs have gone up - a lot. My oldest is in 10th grade so we have started talking colleges. Even an in state public college is ~$30k/yr. all in. (~$120k+ for a 4 year degree). Private universities can be much higher. (~$75k+/yr. -...

Student debt cancelation. Seems there are strong opinions against it from some.

Upon getting our undergraduate degrees, both my wife and I had ~$35k each in loans. We both worked in college (me up to ~50 hours/week my senior year) and I lived off campus to help control costs. We both just got talked into private colleges. The income base repayment options weren't...

You benefit from a school system even if you don't have kids in it. An educated population is a GOOD thing!

Student debt cancelation. Seems there are strong opinions against it from some.

To me the big issue is that the high school KIDS making these decisions aren't really adults. The majority have to make decisions and apply before they are 18 (legal minimum for adult). You have teenagers signing up for hundreds or thousands in debt! I agree parents should help make this...

Student debt cancelation. Seems there are strong opinions against it from some.

I will chime in with my thoughts. My wife and I, for many reasons I won't go into - though we do both have masters, are still have 6 figures in student loans after making payments for almost 20 years. We have about another 20 years of payments to make. Thankfully we have done pretty well for...

Comparison? Michelin Pilot Super Sport vs Pilot Sport 4S

A few other minor things. I have seen a small decrease in road noise (hard to tell with exhaust in sport mode!). Ride is very slightly smoother. Gas mileage is slight better (avg of just under 1mpg in mixed driving). Overall nothing to right home about. I highly recommend these tires for...
