Steeds Roll center correction...bearing’s vs bushing’s?

Thank you for the responses so far. Not worried about replacing the bushings or bearings in the future. my only concern is long term fatigue transferred to other suspension components (ie subframe etc...) from the increased rigidity/shock loads/ road vibrations transferred to those components...

    Brake Pads

Stock brembo pads are a variant of ferodo. I just recently replaced mine around 50k and I’m pretty hard on my brakes when daily driving. Car only saw a handful of autocrosses, and no track days. I decided to give the actual ferodo branded version of the OEM brakes as replacements, they don’t...

Steeds Roll center correction...bearing’s vs bushing’s?

I’m looking to finally buy a set for my car as my control arms are currently inverted from me installing my ohlins setup. I’m inclined to go with the bearings over bushings. However I’m not necessarily willing to transfer the fatigue the bushings absorb to something less easily replaceable...

J&M Camber Plates, how much negative camber were you able to get?

For some reason I was only able to get .5 out of one side and 1 out of the other, have not gotten around to contacting them about it yet.

    Adjusting/setting rear coilover

for oem length springs that is true but using a 6in spring in the back (a 7 inch spring would be perfect... maybe an 8 inch would work but it would be difficult to install without removing the subframe or spring compressors I think) with adjustable perch it can become loose enough to become...

    Adjusting/setting rear coilover

yes lol, glad we’re on the same page now, and thanks for the wheel droop info. I’ll have to go back and check it, I only applied a little preload when lining up the strut so it should have as much droop as my setup allows

    Adjusting/setting rear coilover

memes won’t change that you’re wrong in this, sorry. I have a divorced setup with an adjustable shock body length and it’s exactly how it works. Your shock is bottomed out (perhaps this is the wrong use of words, fully extended would be more appropriate or maybe “topped out” ‍) when its...

    Adjusting/setting rear coilover

you are right in many cases, however not 100% accurate in this one. when the shock has an adjustable shock body length, it is how you apply preload to the spring. Of course it also depends on the length of your spring, now obviously if you set your shock length to a position that gives preload...

    Adjusting/setting rear coilover

if you have an adjustable rear shock body then yes you are correct. Essentially the shock body is what determines the preload on a divorced setup. The ohlins have this adjustment in the rear.

Does anyone daily drive with a light weight kmember

Not to derail too much, but are you saying the aftermarket engine mounts will eventually damage the bell housing? If so are there ones that give more feedback without compromising bell house integrity?

2018 Ported intake mani options? VMP/Lethal/Beef/AutoMafia? & plz comment on my build options :)

    1. IMRC in cars is typically more than just emissions. It also gives you better part throttle tq and drive ability a lot of the time. Now yea I understand WOT the blades are full open but if I can keep them and the tuner I chose can account for them, then I’d rather retain them. Now if I...

2018 Ported intake mani options? VMP/Lethal/Beef/AutoMafia? & plz comment on my build options :)

Anyone see any real data between these 4 options I've seen around? Not sure who to go with, won't be going VMP because their pricing is way out there compared to the rest. Warranty is finally up and i'm starting to purchase my engine mods, of which will be a ported 2018 intake retaining IMRC...

Coilovers: who should i watch on black friday

I’d put them as midgrade, similar to common bilstein options on other cars. Cheap options are in the 1200 and below price range and typically don’t have the quality of mid and high kits. I think some are ok but I wouldn’t know personally. You won’t get into really good Coilovers until you’re in...

2 inch headers? Among other NA mods

Thanks for the help, I kinda figured 2 inch wouldn’t be needed but just wish I could see some data on people that have used them. I’ll be going with ARH headers, talked with ARH and since I had the cat back already they mentioned contacting them for the “long” setup and getting a slightly...

2 inch headers? Among other NA mods

So I tried looking for anything on 2 inch headers and know ARH sells them but have no idea if their beneficial or not? Supporting mods will be all NA, ported 2018 intake, cai, and AED tune or similar. Any other beneficial 93 octane NA mods?

Car wouldn’t start, anyone else get this message before?

it was probably this. Although I’m pretty sure I’ve shut the car down with the wheels turned before lol or could have also been related to getting a new battery. but yea, I’ve had it happen in other vehicles before so I’m sure it’s just it’s normal operation. I assume it’s that way so the...
