Ford... What is your problem? GT500 owners, you need to read these quality control issues...

I got that one. I was looking for an after pic to see how you fixed it. I got the general concept though. I’ll be curious to see what mine is like. I’ll shoot my dealer some pics and have them be on the lookout.

Did you take an after pic? I'm curious if anyone has found anything differently in their car?

Jeebus. Obviously I have a few things to catch up on. Absolute BS to have to deal with this stuff

@Tomster have you already contacted or asked for the Ford rep to reach out to you. All of these things really warrant their attention and I would argue a replacement car

Billy Johnson Reaches 139 MPH at Vegas Speedway

@Tomster theres a lot of reasons why they chose Vegas first. The car will be at other tracks. Personally I loved taking it out on the short course. Showed that the weight didn’t hurt the car and then you had the two straights to get it up to speed a bit and get feel for how quickly the car...

@V00D00 smart move on collecting that data. I was still in giggle mode from driving and didn’t think till after I should’ve ran something like track addict if I could get a signal and not be obvious.

    So fender vents were considered...

Not debating that. I’m sure they did work, but according to Jeff Greuer, there was no benefit. So it’s probably a combination of no benefit, potential line issues, and who knows what else. They were very adamant that it was a lack of benefit that led to removing them. i wish they would’ve...

    So fender vents were considered...

That’s not the reason I was told when I spoke to the engineers in Vegas. They stated they found no benefit from them to relieve pressure from that area so they scrapped them. What I should’ve asked was if it hurt it, because if it didn’t I would’ve liked for them to keep some version of it...

[Updated]: [email protected] so far for GT500 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

It wasn’t about that at all. You’ve got to give people the chance to share their voice. Imagine what this car was doing under a very controlled environment with people that have never driven down a drag strip doing 11 seconds flat.

It was a success. Sure there could’ve been some flex on certain things, but I get it. Maybe next year they will allow more for the dates they have planned since the car will be out for a while. Attendees got enough over the last couple days to get a food flavor for what the car can do...

Not to mention we have @BillyJRacing here. He helped develop the car for crying out loud. Having him be able to chime in on the specifics and provide real answers, not edumacated guesses, is priceless.
