The exotic was kind of an extreme example :D I kind of get the Mustang/muscle vibe, I just think that design is a bit ol' school, but again, that may be the look you want, and obviously, that's totally subjective.
There's a few folks on this board with deeper dish/lip'ed wheels, not widebody...
IMHO, dip dish wheels are a bit dated looking. I get Shelby is a bit ol' school, but a modern wheel design will look better.
I mean, here's a Lamborghini Aventador ($421K), that uses a 21x9 (f), and a massive 21x13 rear running a 355/25-21, and note the wheel design:
A nice concave design...
A 325 is a ton of tire for an 11" wheel. I ran a 335 on a 12" CCW wheel on my Vette, and even that tire had a recommendation for a 12.5"wheel.
I run - not unlike a PP2 - a 305 on my rear 11" wheel (though a 5mm taller sidewall), so a 305/35-20, it looks like the PP2 wheel is an ET48 offset...
Now __that__ is a killer shade of yellow. I like bright, but a bit warmer (vs. that original GT500 pic), kind of like the old Z06 Millennium Yellow color.
"Hey man, take this ..."
"What is it ?"
"Oh wow ... dude ..."
The M5 is a decent amount cheaper, looks like about $25-30K (assuming they have matching equipment, options, etc.), but I'm not seeing where the M5 is faster[?] I mean, they have the same engine/output, same transmission/gearing, but the M5 is a touch heavier. The couple of comparos I found...
FYI, there's a pretty neat set of a photos a guy took, basically the exact same GT PP1, brand new, side-by-side, one with MR, one without, the one with definitely had notably less fender gap.
I noticed this right away with my MR car, my aftermarket 20" setup looks like it did with my previous...
I think the PP2 was intended to be something else, i.e., a little more of a GT350 replacement - the GT500 program got pushed back, the GT350 stuck around, the PP2 got a little dialed back. Clearly, with tires are suggesting a usage that would greatly benefit from coolers.
The whole car sits lower due to the sidewall height of the stock tires, but I don't believe the suspension itself is lower - other than the "mysteriously undocumented" lower ride height that appears to be present on all Magneride cars
I was curious about the price difference on the lower end, a GT500 with the Tech Package is $77,095, a BMW C8 Coupe (non-Comp) without a special exterior or interior is $133,000 (or it's documented in a few reviews as $134,995, so maybe the configurator didn't have the final with destination)...
The media site for Ford has a technical specs PDF (see below) that indicates the there's a 28lb difference, manual vs. A10.
Motortrend did a test and said they weighed them and saw ~3lbs difference. I'm sure they were comparing like trims (i.e., definitely both GT PP based on the photos), with...
I had a Z06 that was Millenium Yellow, that's about my favorite shade, but it's a good bit more towards red.
Is Grabber Yellow a 3-stage paint like Orange Fury? Those kind of colors tend to really change shades depending on the light.
I mean, here's my hood:
