    PP2 OWNER EXPERIENCES - RAVES/QUIRKS

One for autocrossers and the more serious kit for track junkies. If you want to lower it look at M5300W Magenride lowering springs. A little firmer ride and maybe 3/4" drop. Well, we can...maybe for a few hot laps. On a warm summer day we may not make it all day without the diff throwing...

    Rear Diff Cover

Drift session looks promising but as mentioned we really need the air temp of each day for a solid comparison. Also, for real track day use you would need a 20 minute session with say 40 minutes break and then repeat at least like 4 times to see if the final session still stays under the limp...

    2018/19 MT82 owners - see TSB’s regarding busted 1-2 & 3-4 shift forks

So Magneride also monitors gear selection and speed among other things of course to determine shock settings. The current MT82 with magneride cars has a sensor for that.

I sent them an email to try and get a better explanation. I suppose I could try a Barton or MGW along with the Steeda Spring I haven't installed yet. Plus a new clutch line and clutch eventually. Mach 1 sounds like a better idea more and more :).

Thanks but that color makes me want to puke :). I might consider a super low mileage GT350 but I think if they aren't broken in properly they are more prone to issues. But with low mileage and factory warranty left I could call up Flood and buy an extended warranty.

Except that Mach 1 will have Tremec with rev matching so I'm wondering if there will be a Tremec available with that feature to swap in. Actually I don't care about rev match as I can heel and toe on track but they also mentioned it not working with Magneride. Need to look into that more though.

Wouldn't that be nice. Maybe if they had switched to Tremec only for all Mustangs but as long as the MT82 is around we'll have to deal with it's shortcomings. I'm hoping to see a swap kit put out by Ford though. I had talked to Calimer about upgrading my MT82 or swapping to a Tremec and I Was...

On the street I never have a problem with rev matching. On the track at speed with hard braking and a down shift it wouldn't always rev match. No tune. Correct :)

I called Calimer the other day to discuss transmission options and he said with the Magneride and rev matching we are stuck with the MT82. If that's true then going to a Mach 1 has more appeal. Then again if Ford can match the Tremec with Magneride and rev matching in the Mach 1 I would think...

For road racing I'd want the warranty. I've talked to someone who seriously road races an A10 and has smoked 3 transmission with all kinds of added cooling. If Ford really got it 75% more cooling it might be worth it. Plus a Mach 1 will likely hold more value than standard GT so you get...

M-9602-M 2018-19 MUSTANG FORD PERFORMANCE MAGNERIDE HANDLING PACK

Here's some threads I've found. I measured my stock PP2 bars when I took them off but I don't remember the numbers. I do know the RTR bars are thicker. Springs M-5300-W springs are definitely stiffer than stock PP2. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/sway-bar-size-compilation.80809/...

Mach 1 performance “very very close to the GT500”

Yep. Seat time > shiny new car. Though a better car setup can help the driver confidence part. I'm only considering Mach 1 because of the 3 cars I've had with the MT82 the PP2 has given me the most problems shifting on track and Mach comes with coolers. If I dump money into Tremec, coolers...

M-9602-M 2018-19 MUSTANG FORD PERFORMANCE MAGNERIDE HANDLING PACK

The bars and springs are not PP2 bars and springs. I have a PP2 and the springs are stiffer and slightly lower (about 3/4 inch). Bars are thicker and adjustable. I actually chose RTR bars because they were on sale much cheaper then the M5490G bars . So if you have PP1 w magneride your...

Oh duh, every time I've looked up rotors the rears are the same for all but Shelby cars.

Isn't it just the regular GT rotors that are inverted hats? PP cars (1 and 2) have good (but heavy) rotors. That's one reason to jump into at least PP1 for a track car. Though you can find decent brakes for cheaper especially with the price jump PP1 took.

I presume you meant "now that we know it can be paired with an automatic." I'm curious if the auto will be able to hold up to road race conditions. I do enjoy rowing my own gears but I keep saying if the auto will hold up it makes a great jack of all trades vehicle (Street, Strip, Track).

I would agree with that in most cases. But if you look at some other offerings in the road race arena times may be changing. Porsche's PDK has been around for years but even the GT500 (DCT) is billed as being a great road race car. Maybe after using the DCT in the GT500 they will see more...

The A10 cooling in the Mach 1 is stated at 75% more cooling. Unless that's going to be for all A10's going forward. If you're a drag racer a regular A10 is fine. If the Mach 1 really has 75% better cooling on the A10 it might make for an interesting road race option.

Maybe they will be included with the handling package? Possibly making for a good upgrade option.#hopeful :) As someone stated there is more included to bring a regular GT to a PP1. The handling package on a Shelby is only what $1500. Though that doesn't include wheels and tires.

2021 Mustang Order Guide (Including Mach 1)

I can see the handling package being late. I believe when the PP2 was first released they did late delivery. I don't think they wanted people running around in cold weather on SC2 tires. Hoping I'll be able to find a leftover 2021 Mach1 later for a good deal. If it's basically a slightly...
