Just received a email from Ford saying my production week was moved up 1 week from the week of 7/25 to the week of 7/18. Things starting to progress quickly.
A coworker of mine ordered a 2022 Raptor and waited 6 months for it to arrive. He was also was paying 10K over sticker. When he went to pick up his new truck, the dealer reneged on his original trade in amount and low balled him. He ended up walking away. I made sure I stayed away from this...
Stay away. Besides the fact the thiefs beat the living he'll out of it, he could of drove for miles on those flat tires. What ever the dealer told you, it's probably 10X worse.
Probably has to do with our current astronomical fuel prices. The car hauler companies may be waiting for several vehicles to transport at once in order to save fuel.
I also got a build date for week of 7/25/22. That's alot quicker than I thought. Put the order in 3 weeks ago. Hoping it's not moved back between now and then. 🤞
The main holdup with delivery is the transportation from Flat Rock by train. Since the dealer is 20 minutes from Flat Rock, you should receive your Mustang ALOT quicker.
I think the longer delivery times has to do with fuel prices. With diesel fuel prices at a all time high, Railroad companies are trying to get as many vehicles and other goods on their trains as possible, which is resulting in longer shipping times.
Maybe if they cancel their 2 week early July break, the train schedule goes back to normal, and they don't run out of chips and parts. Otherwise, I'd say 12 weeks minimum.
When I ordered my new Mustang GT Premium last week, I was only able to get $500 below MSRP due to the fact Ford isn't offering any price incentives. They originally offered me 2K below what KBB said the trade in was for a 2013 Mustang Premium GT which is garaged kept and in very good condition...
