I think the difference was the 6 speed auto vs the 3 speed auto. The GTO would beat the v6 top end. Yeah the tires were as bad as the brakes and handling. The v6 did 0 to 60 in 5.4 one time but would do 5.5 consistently.

I just replaced mine. I had a hole in the oil pan and the dealer probably ran the car with no oil so they could do a nice motor job. My insurance company paid for it which means we all paid for it. Sucks but I at least I got a new motor

36 months unlimited mileage. So I'm back to New motor is 36 months unlimited mileage. The ford performance is 36 months 36000 miles what ever comes first so either way I'm good to go.

The 2nd mustang I had was a 16 v6. I really think it was faster then my brand new 67 GTO. it breaks my heart to say that. The GTO felt faster in the low end but the v6 turned high 13's I don't think the GTO could run those times stock. But the GTO sounded way better.
