  1. Whipple Tune to PBD Tune?

Gen 3 12:1 and 94 octane for 800 whp+ would be risky, I would use race fuel or E85. You have the ability to switch pulleys and fuels depending on the needs.
  2. Whipple Gen 3 or Gen 4 Question

I don't know about "power" it will depend on a lot of factors, but should be capable of close to 1000. I'm running 3.125 (16 pound on E85) 6rib on 11:1 Gen 2 Whipple and trapped 142MPH at 9.6 ET on 1975 DA in the not drag friendly weather here in Puerto Rico and plan to drop to 2.85-2.75 as soon...
  3. Whipple Tune to PBD Tune?

The big gains are In the transmission tuning and torque management. I actually made a little less power with the PBD tune but improved 0.4 on my ET and trapped 4 MPH higher.
  4. Exhaust Pressure Testing

Went to the track yesterday and just changed my axle back. Previous setup 1-3/4" long tubes 3" free all the way to the axle back. 2.5" adapters, stock pipes with GT500 single tip mufflers. 3.25" pulley on E85 @ 2199 DA 1.42 60' , 6.38 1/[email protected] , 9.92 1/[email protected] Now changed axle back for 3" no...
  5. Crank Balancer snapped off (Whipple 2.9)

The same happened to me a couple of years ago on a Whipple Gen2 @ 15 psi with an ATI balancer as well on top of 3rd down the strip. I didn't check for interference during install, so probably didn't fully seated before reaching torque value (Judging from a picture of my belt.) Now I have a...
  6. Exhaust Pressure Testing

Interesting! I'm running 1 3/4" LTH with a Corsa 3" double x necking down (2.25") to stock pipes with GT500's mufflers. At 15 psi (3.25" on a gen 2), I'm not getting the results I expected. Increasing boost will probably put me on the border line level to experience head lift (stock head...
  7. Thoughts on MFP or Harrup Phenolic Spacers for a Roush Phase 2 Supercharger on Gen 2 s550

Mine came with longer bolts and cost a little less back in October 2019 and as for belts, I added 1/2" to each belt corresponding to your pulley size.
  8. Thoughts on MFP or Harrup Phenolic Spacers for a Roush Phase 2 Supercharger on Gen 2 s550

I just received feedback from my tuner on the log and it looks pretty good. Got the ok to go to the track.
  9. Thoughts on MFP or Harrup Phenolic Spacers for a Roush Phase 2 Supercharger on Gen 2 s550

I got the MFP on my setup and didn't though about it affecting fuel trims. Have this been confirmed on data logs? It seems like a great way to mitigate heat conductivity as mentioned and goggle searched for info on spacers and trims on any platform but didn't found anything, although it makes...
  10. Whipple to Custom Tune for Stage 2 Whipple

Palm Beach Dyno Whipple Tune 3.5 pulley on 104 did [email protected] PBD Tune 3.5 pulley on 104 did [email protected] and the 3.25 [email protected]
  11. Whipple to Custom Tune for Stage 2 Whipple

I have an Auto and the biggest difference I noticed was on the transmission tuning and torque management. 0.4 sec improvement on the 1/4 mile on the same pulley and gas.
  12. Why Spend Money On Return Fuel System

I have been debating the same for some time now. Since there is no pump E85 here in Puerto Rico, I either run race gas or Race E85, yet everybody here is going for the E. I got 22 degrees of timing from MS109 and cost me $90 (5 gallons) C85 would cost me $70 (5 gallons ) so roughly the same as...
  13. Whipple Tune Plus MS109 Unleaded Fuel

Really! I didn’t knew about this and wasn’t ask for it when changed from Whipple tune to PBD.
  14. Whipple Tune Plus MS109 Unleaded Fuel

Whipple Tune will adjust and add timing. It will improve and MS109 will support all the way to a 3.250 with BAP. A custom tune for MS109 will provide even better results.
  15. Another Case for Billet OPG and Timing Gear.

Exactly my case. Didn’t check interference and reached torque spec before seating it properly (ATI 6 rib on a Whipple 3.25’) Mine and a stock picture for reference.
  16. Another Case for Billet OPG and Timing Gear.

Really! Thanks! That would save me from opening up the engine. I haven’t install mine, so I’ll call to make sure about it.
  17. Another Case for Billet OPG and Timing Gear.

Are you sure on the CS? I bough a couple of months ago a new Aluminator (Crate) (same issue as yours with 10,000 miles) but didn’t found any info on the CS just the CJ oil pump on the parts description.
  18. Crankshaft snout snapped

Sorry for your loss! Another ATI! Although I didn’t ran mine as much as you. Mine lasted for 3 years, 2 half mile events, 2 roll race events, and 30+ 1/4 mile runs broke mi snout due to mi installation error (not seated properly). No hints whatsoever until that 3-4 shift at 7,700.
