Normal in the manual is not "bad", but it sure as hell ain't Sport+. I drive in Normal only until the cylinder head temps are normal, and I shift around 3K. After that it's "give em hell dale".
Best I can tell the G2's had 5-10k miles on them when I bought. They are terrible on the rear. Put super sports on last month in 305/35/19, so much better. PS4S going on the front next month to replace G2's (285/35/19).
I saw the same reaction with 5w-20 and 5w-30. Spikes to max, then drops down after bypass on cold start. I never drive mine hard until both the engine coolant temp is normal AND the cylinder head temp is normal. Sub 3k rpm shifts.
Little late, but I just went from 555 G2's on the back (305/35) to Pilot Super Sports. Those Nitto's aint even in the same league with rear tire traction. Going to change the 285/35's up front out for PS4S early next year.
I bought mine last October with 14k miles. Randomly heard an idle tick, that was a random noise. Since going to 5w-30 Full Syn this summer, I haven't heard it since. Not saying that's a fix, just what I know.
The 2K rattle is what it is, and we know it is a function of the car.
Changed out rears from the terrible Nitto's to the Super Sports. Left shop, warmed up, even overinflated they gripped in two scenarios where those ish other tires would have spun a little. Also, like how it sticks out around the wheel for some protection. Good job Michelin.
Nothing for Christmas, in the middle of a move. Q1 wants are the FP rear spoiler with gurney and whipple gen 5 stage 2, upgraded oil pump and crank gears, and half shafts
Mine nibbles when cold. If I press the clutch in and go into first too fast it bumps a little. Other than that I can make screeching 1-2 and 2-3 shifts in this thing when hauling arse, it just eats. I dont have cold idle issues.
