That stupid rule is to stop people from accidentally back feeding the grid and killing linemen who may be working on equipment that is de-energized.
However, I’d imagine there are ways to safely allow solar users to continue to use their produced energy safely during power interruptions...
Are you sure their power isn’t being shut off on purpose to prevent fires? Because that action does happen in Cali and is a result of the state holding utilities responsible for power lines that fall down (usually due to high winds) and create fires.

While I understand that the lack of charging stations is currently a hurdle to overcome, it amazes me how many people don’t think the general idea of emissions free vehicles on a large scale is unrealistic.

I am awaiting some warmer weather to fully troubleshoot and ensure my tires have the required temps for proper use.
The car is currently handling exceptionally and I believe my tires very well could of of been a culprit in this. As painful as that may be to admit.
