  1. Cold Air Intake 4 Better Sound?

I work from home and only drive my car once or twice a week...about 5k a year.
  2. Cold Air Intake 4 Better Sound?

I am considering adding a cold air intake to my GT and I was looking for opinions. I am not really looking for more horses (although I would never turn them down)...I am looking to get a throatier sound. Anyone here think a specific intake gives a good sound over others? Is the sound even...

I ordered it from my local Ford dealer. It was $56. It did come with the collar ring but you just peel the leather off of it.
  4. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

After they powder coat them I think they put new ones on them. It is included in the price, but I would have been just as happy if they left them off. I don't need to do free advertising for Brembo.
  5. Bright Blue Caliper Paint Job!

The only thing I told him about the stickers was that I didn’t care if they put any back on or not. It was included in the price but I would’ve actually been just as happy if they had just left them off completely.
  6. Bright Blue Caliper Paint Job!

Do you mean the rear calipers? I had them do that so they would look more balanced with the front ones. Since I will never be changing the brake pads. I will only probably put 5 to 6000 miles on this car before I traded in next year on my birthday. If you don’t do that the back ones just look...

Water. That is all they have had on them because I am too lazy to wash it.
  8. Bright Blue Caliper Paint Job!

I have seen that. I actually wanted a Camaro ZL1 when I bought this Mustang since I had already owned a Mustang GT.

You can't put a good powder coating on break calipers while still on the car. The car won't fit in the machine. You also need to remove all the seals and pistons. The seals need to be replaced during the reinstall. The brake paints start to wear and chip rather quickly. Never had them look good...
  10. Bright Blue Caliper Paint Job!

There is a reason I didn't do a side shot. The who;e thing is filthy. We have been having our first snowfalls. :)
  11. Bright Blue Caliper Paint Job!

Nope, to properly paint them you have to remove them. The simple tape off job some people do might look okay for awhile but having them properly coated and then having all the seals replaced is how professionals do it.
  12. Bright Blue Caliper Paint Job!

Getting this done is a pretty big job, so it cost a little over $400. You basically have to completely rebuild the brakes afterwards. It took a few days.
  13. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Thanks to the guys over at Wheelkraft NW in Vancouver, I now have calipers to match the graphics on my GT.
  14. Bright Blue Caliper Paint Job!

It doesn’t matter how much something is worth when you can’t find a buyer. Automatics sell faster and more easily.
  16. Millennial Theft Proofing my Mustang

Wasteful? How is owning/driving as many awesome cars as you can before dying wasteful? I gladly consider any depreciation worth it. In the past 5yrs I have been fortunate enough to drive a WRX STI, then a Jeep JKU, then a Scat Pack Challenger, the a Mini Cooper JCW Clubman, and now the Mustang...

But then I would also refuse to be seen driving it. Not that I dislike electric cars. I own a Tesla Model Y.
  18. Millennial Theft Proofing my Mustang

Sorry, I sell my car privately every year. The market does NOT desire manual cars. The few people that do want manuals also want the car for next to nothing.
  19. Millennial Theft Proofing my Mustang

We’ll, you’re wrong. Sorry to be the one to tell you. Do you think manufacturers are stopping making manuals because they sell so well? They are tired of making too much money?
