  1. Whose YouTube car detailing videos do you like? Why?

I agree. I also watch Waxmode for the same reason. It's hard to tell what he likes and doesn't like and the simplicity of his tests kinda glosses over a lot (no pun intended). But for pure mass exposure to a huge array of products both channels are good.
  2. Whose YouTube car detailing videos do you like? Why?

Yeah I stopped watching Pan the Organizer because he talked about every product like it was best on the market. Also I tend to shy away from detailers that rely on the product more than the technique.
  3. Whose YouTube car detailing videos do you like? Why?

Larry Kosilla (YouTube channel is AMMO NYC) will never steer you wrong. He's released a wealth of information over the last 5 years. I've talked to him directly a couple times, the guy is a workhorse in the detailing world, giving time to anybody who needs it. Forensic Detailing is a good...
  4. Smell of burning oil after miss shifting

First off, I hope the car is okay! Second, it's possible under such high, momentary load, the crankcase pressure spiked and forced some oil mist into the engine, where it was then burned. If I run the snot out of my GT constantly at high RPM, even with the catch can on it, I can get the exhaust...
  5. Hummer EV

GM knows the type of people who buy this will never go off road, so they saved the money on giving it a truly decent set up. Hard pass for me. If I wanted to spend $130k on an off-roader that I would have to trailer to any place worth off-roading, I'd just get a Ripsaw.
  6. Unexpected Lemons

The 4.7s have an infamous reputation, but you sure do see a lot still on the road. There's a RAM 1500 with a 4.7 on the COPAR auction lot in Denver I've been keeping my eye on. When it goes under the hammer I might pick it up.
  7. So do females ever post unaltered pictures of themselves?

They're mostly scam accounts or bridge accounts to private snapchat porn accounts. If you click you see they have something like 28 friends and all of them are middle-aged men. Most ordinary women, while wanting to feel beautiful, don't typically like to feel trashy - so you rarely see or are...
  8. World's fastest car.

Ahaha it has to be other worldly! He was doing fist pumps at 200 lol. When 200 feels slow you're no longer on the same level as the rest of the world. I would love to experience that.
  9. World's fastest car.

Granted the 331mph speed was wind-aided, but it was still pulling too! Driver said he could have stayed in it, but felt safer backing off (at 331mph LOL).
  10. World's fastest car.

I'm actually surprised they pulled it off. When they debuted the car, what, a decade ago now - I got the impression they were trying REALLY hard to attract any investment money they could just to stay afloat after the SSC Aero. Good on them for actually seeing it through. I'm a little sad to see...
  11. People with pro chargers. Any cutting or trimming to inside of front bumper?

Dang, one of the things that turned me on to procharger was I thought there was no grinding of the engine for fitment. Is this the case whether you have the dedicated pulley or not?
  12. Unexpected Lemons

That's so disappointing. I have a similar experience with my '15 Ram 2500. I didn't include it here because, well, when I bought it FCA had already a dubious reputation but I figured since it was a Cummins I would be fine. Eh, not so much unfortunately. It really turned me off to Chrysler in...
  13. Unexpected Lemons

Just wondering if you've ever had an experience with a stereotypically reliable brand that turned out to be anything but. I have a couple. My ex had a Honda Civic ('00 if I remember correctly). The god forsaken thing was the most infuriating turd I have worked on. We took great care of it and...
  14. I hate Christmas.

My friends and family do a pretty good job of making it meaningful. We'll remember something someone wanted in July and get it for them for Christmas and it's always a fun surprise. And/or we'll make something meaningful. This year I'm brewing a bourbon barrel Porter for my parents that's done...
  15. I don't think I could have done this.....

At least they used it for something. Most pre-production, prototypes, and concept cars just get crushed.
  16. From 370z to Mustang GT

As stated above, the 370Z and GT aren't worlds apart handling wise. I wanted a 370Z but passed it up when I got my car because they wanted too much money for too old of a platform in my opinion. But a buddy let me rip his on several occasions when I was torn on getting one. They're both good...
  17. Help! Wheels won't rotate...stuck calipers? Line lock issue?

Did you figure it out? Wet rotors, plus sitting, gets the brakes sticky. Like really sticky. Happens to me often enough that I don't think about it. Bump it a couple times on the clutch (but not enough to hurt anything - don't hamfist it), and it should pop loose. The first time it happened to...
  18. What is the next "special" trim?

Ouch, no love for the Boss 351? It's closer to 5.2L and they were no slouch back in the day by any means. Edit: The more I think about it the more that makes some good bit of sense as a special edition. Increase displacement to 351ci, slot the power in right around 500hp-530hp. Bottom end stays...
  19. Ceramic Coating Worth it???

It's a preferential thing, to me honestly. My truck I coated, my Mustang I did not. I only need to wax my car once a year max - I use BWM 101 Hi-Temp Paste Wax. It honestly changed the game for me. With my truck I have to maintain the coating. It looked perfect for 1 year then after that I found...
  20. How are you protecting your car in your garage?

Yeah I got one for ya like that. I used to work in a city center and park in those expensive public lots where you pay out the backend for the privilege of someone usually dinging your vehicle each day. I used to go eat in my truck on lunch. Anyway, one time I'm in the truck and a city work...
