Nailed it. Not very mischievous as far as I am concerned. I think Oil Slick was a better name for it.
  2. Pilot Sport 4S to Pilot Sport AS

I ordered my '21 GT with the 20" wheels, which Ford shod with Goodyear Eagle F1 all season tires. They are amazingly good. Not quite as crisp as the best summer tires but a heck of a lot better than the base 18-inch tires on my '15 GT. I guess I am odd man out. I like the velvet glove feeling of...
  3. 2022 Mustang reliability projection to be "well below average"

It is CR. And it's their methods that are suspect. The Mustang's reliability didn't suddenly drop. Same transmissions, same electronics except with bug fixes applied. I just took delivery of a '21 GT with the 401a package (digital dash and all the electronics). I am not worried. I'll probably...
  4. is there that fake exhaust sound in a 2021 GT?

I leave my active exhaust in Sport mode all the time. The neighbors are over a hundred feet away; they can deal with it. Besides, it's just that first crack of the cold start that's loud. Then it settles down pretty good so I can creep down the lane to the street, LOL. I don't see any need to...
  5. Millennial Theft Proofing my Mustang

Good thing I don't plan to ever sell mine.
  6. What's changing on '22?

The change is all in the tune, for smog purposes. So anything that involves tuning is going to have to be tweaked for the new models, but that's not uncommon. You will never notice the "missing" 10 hp on the street. 450 will feel an awful lot like 460. I just worry that this is the beginning of...
  7. Fighter Jet Grey is not... Grey + My underwhelming experience of a Mach 1 "delivery"

Probably. But I have to say, my GT was absolutely squeaky clean inside and out when I got it from the dealer with 20 miles on the clock. Tires were black, glass was clean, window sticker had never been glued on (my custom order, so it's a green sticker) and no finger prints anywhere. It was...
  8. Totaled or not?

Amen to that. With the B-pillar caved in, it'll never be the same. Sing Taps, kiss it good-bye.
  9. GT500's 5.2L Predator V8 Now Available as Crate Engine (Priced $25,995)

For perspective, it costs roughly the difference between a GT and a GT500. That doesn't seem too unreasonable, though if you have in mind to use one in a Fox or SN95 project car it may give you pause.
  10. First real life looks at Eruption Green and Oil Slick Blue-Purple new paint colors for 2022 GT500

That's one of the best greens Ford has had on the Mustang in a very long time. I like it. And that blue is nice, so much better than Antimatter, which was too close to black. I'm sad to see Velocity Blue go away, happy that I have a 2021 in my garage to keep.
  11. Will we ever again see a Mustang on a dealer lot FS?

A good friend of my Dad's owned several dealerships over 50 years in Central California. He always said he was in it for the service business; that's where they made their money. If they broke even on car sales, that was good. And believe me, he made plenty of money over the years.
  12. 2022s In Production?

I feel better now. I had been told what you said, that the new models would start production in January. But there it is, in the metal. I will say that seeing Atlas Blue in a photo makes me even more pleased that I got my order in for Velocity Blue. Thanks for the correction.
  13. 2022s In Production?

I was surprised to see a Facebook post yesterday of what is apparently a 2022 Mustang. A GT/CS with the PP1, in Atlas Blue. None of that is available in 2021. OP says she is employed at Flat Rock. Could the plant shut down the first week of October (blamed on a water pipe) have turned into the...
  14. Where are the 2022 Mustangs?

Interesting. Maybe you are right and it's the new normal. It would make sense. September has never made any sense, it's just been "how we have always done it."
  15. Flat Rock down AGAIN next week! (Week commencing 4th Oct)

Short rail trip to New Jersey! Great news for you!
  16. Show and Shine... Post your ride

I love the plate! I don't know how much of an Old Phartt you are, but my new 2021 GT is likely my last new Mustang anyway. I get it.
  17. Show and Shine... Post your ride

It's pretty. Exotic! Better than the first photos (and the second, third and fourth photos) that I saw. But it's too dark for me. Glad you love it! I thought about ordering AMB, but I am happy I chose to order Velocity Blue. I will be happier with that. It's so close to the 1998 Bright Atlantic...
  18. Show and Shine... Post your ride

Wow, Antimatter Blue actually showing some blue! It usually reads black in photos. It's SO dark! But all shined up in the bright sun like this, it looks really nice.
  19. Show and Shine... Post your ride

Oh, that is the saddest thing I have read all day. In Florida we are coming into the drier, cooler driving season. The monsoons are over for the summer. We should see the sun most every day until May.
  20. GT vs GT350, Thoughts?

A Shelby is great if you want to show it, and it's an investment. If you want to drive it, you need a sponsor. If you are driving and paying your own bills, better to have a GT.
