  1. 2022MY Mustang Order Guide Reveals New Colors & Packages

I've seen both links and I'm optimistic. But I saw pictures of Need for Green and thought it'd be a nice color in person...when I saw it in real life, for me it was a Crayola Yellow-Green, my least favorite Crayola color. So who knows...? Maybe if the LA Auto Show takes place this year we'll see...
  2. 2022MY Mustang Order Guide Reveals New Colors & Packages

I've seen Atlas Blue in person. I feel like it's a decontrasted Lightning Blue in the vein that I feel like Carbonized Gray is a decontrasted Magnetic. As for Eruption Green, I'm hoping it's either like a modern Electric Green or the green color equivalent of Kona Blue...that is, just light...
  3. How To Prepare For a GT (as a daily driver) Coming From an EcoBoost

Really? Didn't know that. But considering most if not all of my driving is in the city I'm not surprised. I'll keep that in mind going forward. EDIT: Not seeing how I'd keep my RPMs at or above 2500 unless I was driving stick-shift, especially in Normal driving mode.
  4. How To Prepare For a GT (as a daily driver) Coming From an EcoBoost

Interesting. I've done WOT in my EcoBoost, but only a few times getting on the highway. Aside from that, the only time I'm above 2K RPM is when I'm in Sport+ Mode, which isn't very often. Not sure if that'll change with a GT, although I did like the Sport+ Mode in that version with the brief...
  5. How To Prepare For a GT (as a daily driver) Coming From an EcoBoost

Granger sounds very nice, but unfortunately I don't have the money or driving/travel experience to do a round-trip to and from Iowa. Regarding ordering, if I want to trade in my EcoBoost, can I negotiate a trade-in value at the time of order but then trade it in afterwards once the GT arrives...
  6. How To Prepare For a GT (as a daily driver) Coming From an EcoBoost

Past the V8 sound, the main thing I'm getting switching from EcoBoost to GT is smooth consistent throttle control/acceleration. I'm the furthest thing from a leadfoot, but if I had known I'd consistently struggle with turbo lag/jerkiness (I think that's what it is) at parking lot/residental...
  7. How To Prepare For a GT (as a daily driver) Coming From an EcoBoost

Wish I could, but the EB is my daily driver (also my only one) and I'd be replacing it with the GT after trading it in. Kind of need it for work right now. 😅 That said, I've figured out the ideal configuration for the GT I want: ERUPTION GREEN 401A 10-speed Automatic 20x9/265 Wheels/All-Season...
  8. How To Prepare For a GT (as a daily driver) Coming From an EcoBoost

After talking to my local dealer and others regarding summer tires, I determined I'm likely not committed enough to be switching out tires/rims every few months or so. (If only they offered Magneride outside of the Performance Pack or Mach 1.) Thus, I'll likely be ordering a GT Premium or GT...
  9. How To Prepare For a GT (as a daily driver) Coming From an EcoBoost

A few more questions (hopefully), plus some clarification afterwards. 1. What does it mean to take a bath on a car? 2. Magneride may be worth it, but I'd really only consider getting it with the Mach 1 (which again, is very likely out of my price range unless I put at least $30K down, money I...
  10. How To Prepare For a GT (as a daily driver) Coming From an EcoBoost

After much thinking, I've decided to try and obtain a '22 GT. Without going into too much detail I'll have the EcoBoost half-way paid off by August of next year (0% APR for 72 months). Now for the questions: 1. What should I expect when trading in a vehicle that still has payments left on it...
  11. 2022MY Mustang Order Guide Reveals New Colors & Packages

It appears to be exclusive to EcoBoost Premiums. (It also looks like this will replace the Pony Package.) (explodes in happiness) If only I could afford a Mach 1. Alas, GT/GT Premium would be more practical for me. I know what "Late Availability" means, but what exactly does it imply in this...
  12. Stealth Edition 2022 Mustang Announced & California Special Adds GT Performance Package

If anything, I'd hope to see a standalone option for clear taillights either for these upcoming '22s or (more hopefully) the S650s. As for Eruption Green potentially being a GT500 exclusive...sad as it sounds, it's pretty much the only reason I'd consider a '22 GT over waiting until my Eco is...
  13. '22MY Mustang colors (including paint codes)

It's going to be tempting if Eruption Green or the Blue/Purple colors are available on the '22 Mach 1, let alone the GT. I'll have my EcoBoost halfway paid off by August...do I go all in on my dream then or wait for the '24/'26 Mustangs? (Sad that all it takes is genuinely interesting colors to...
  14. Texas WTT Recaros for stocks

    They won’t work. I have a 2019. GLWS
  15. Do you drive in quiet mode?

I use Quiet mode much less than I originally planned to two years ago. I'm a Normal driver most of the time nowadays, with an occasional switch to Sport or Quiet depending on my mood.
  16. Rumor: S650 Mustang 4-Door Sedan Will Debut in 2022 with 3 Engine Options

Ultimately, consumers will dictate. Unfortunately, there will not likely be enough who are loyal to the Mustang legend to talk Ford off the cliff if they decide to go with a 4-door model. We just saw that with the SUV.
  17. '21MY Mach 1s are starting to arrive at dealers

    You should see our taxes!
  18. Eruption green?

I feel the same way. That color would've looked real nice on a non-Bullitt Mustang, and I think this Eruption Green looks promising even though I'm getting more vibes of the '99-'00 Mustangs in Electric Green from it at the moment. That would be a perfect green color in my book for a Mustang...
  19. Mustang V8 vs Ecoboost

Problem is it's not that much lighter. And still a big car. Can 13K in mods make a car faster? Sure, but only if they are the RIGHT mods. And remember some stuff is downgraded on the Ecoboost version so you have to spend money to just match what is stock on a GT. Plus no warranty. Are you...
  20. Nissan's "new" Z/Z400

The 90's 300zx was my favorite sports car as a child and going into adolescence (thanks Gran Turismo 2 for showing me that final Japan only refresh for the Z32). This Z...it definitely looks better than the 370Z, but at this stage of my life I'm more excited for the prospect of a "Mustang sedan"...
