  1. Computer geeks, step inside

Speaking of ADD... this thread is the making of a Ritalin commercial. Start off talking about RAM, morphs into console v rig, Linix v Windows v Mac, Intel v AMD, and thoughts on building/spec'ing computers. There is no hope for us.
  2. Computer geeks, step inside

I saw the link and said... oh heck no I'm not clicking on that. Linux... oy vey.
  3. Computer geeks, step inside

Kid has steam, discord, destiny 2, twitch, and a music stream of some sort going all simultaneously. Use to have this nonsense application Vanguard running as well but I shut that nonsense down real quick and in a hurry. Not at my desk! If I find used tissues he is going to find redirects to...
  4. Computer geeks, step inside

Technically speaking I'll be the Guinea pig before my son when we internally release Windows 11. By the time it goes public I'll know how to use it. I really like the new Gen Intel processors. Not the 14nm but the 10nm stuff. Unfortunately that means I will need to spec everything and build it...
  5. Computer geeks, step inside

Will be going to Winders 11 here soon as soon as it is released externally No idea. Neither of us play Crysis. He plays Destiny 2 and loves the increased speed and framerates on my computer. My games are low requirements.
  6. Computer geeks, step inside

This computer is likely going to our eldest. Extra RAM is for all the applications he runs simultaneously. Dear lord man, this generation took look at ADD from my generation and said "hold my organic sugar free juice box made from biodegradable naturally occurring material by a non-profit...
  7. Computer geeks, step inside

I think I'm splitting hairs here but wanted to get a second opinion (or third or fourth). Looking to upgrade RAM in my computer. Z370 chipset which supports up to 2666MHz. Not a powerhouse but it does the job. i7 8700, specs say it supports up to 41.6GB/s on the memory and supports dual channel...
  8. Steeda Trident Wheels Are Here! [05-21 Mustang]

Yep, the prototype weight is lighter than the Apex EC-7 19x11" with the same exact offset. Granted they have a disclaimer that the actual production weight may be higher. @SteedaTech I would put in what spacer you need up front for the race package. Most of us know you need a 25mm spacer, you...
  9. Selling my GT... decisions decisions

I did the same. First came the wheels. I've been wanting 305's all around for awhile. Though excessive camber in front wasn't something I was looking forward to. So I found Anderson Composites GT350 fenders that are wider which should reduce camber. Then it was the coolers. Trans cooler is...
  10. Base brakes.... still Brembos...

I have owned both on the same car. There is absolutely no comparison. Brembos are definitely the better choice. People who have driven my car notice two things :how it can take a turn and how it can stop. Now one thing I can't say I did was change compound on the stock base GT pads. I honestly...
  11. Base brakes.... still Brembos...

I can tell you beyond a doubt that if they are brembos, they are the worst they ever made. I would put my name on them either
  12. Finally A Mod

Pains me to say it but I doubt I'll mod my Mach 1... much
  13. Green Cats vs Catless for Weekend Car

Catless is louder for sure. Catless is wake the dead loud and can be too loud
  14. Green Cats vs Catless for Weekend Car

I think I posted a sound clip long ago that had what I was running on the car. Forget who ran the H pipe but the resonator back was a borla touring exhaust. And I am so glad it was the touring and not atak. It got loud, like Harley Davidson loud. Someone cut you off? Someone driving too close...
  15. Green Cats vs Catless for Weekend Car

Factory Ford tune with 1 7/8" Kooks and Green Cats. Not a single change, no tuners were used.
  16. Green Cats vs Catless for Weekend Car

I owned Kooks headers with green cats on my 2016. Despite what people say, it can be done without a tune and does have a power gain on a Ford tune. Though it is not as good cleaning exhaust as stock cats do. They have a minor smell. Idling for a short period will produce a noticeable (but not...
  17. Selling my GT... decisions decisions

Amen brother. I do see some folks point though, there are mod'ers who do it irresponsibly and expect others to pay for their mistakes. As far as hard miles, when stuff breaks I see it as an opportunity. Its like that saying in the movie Gladiator "Pain is just weakness leaving the body". Same...
  18. Selling my GT... decisions decisions

Me personally I have no issue with most of that. Last private sale I did was on one of my Corvettes. Made sure the guy knew the price and asked how he intended on making payment before we met. He test drove it with all my mods and had only one complaint. Told him if he bought it, it was his...
  19. BMR Road race K member installed

IDK... the one at the top of the picture ain't even paying attention.
  20. Selling my GT... decisions decisions

Yeah that is where I think I'm at. Folks don't seem to like used parts even at reasonable discounts. Which is why I'm thinking if it will fit on the Mach 1 and it is easy to pull off, its coming with me. Otherwise it stays.
