I just had the same,managed to get fob apart,instructions in the owners manual,batteries are cr2025,got mine in a pack of 4 from Tesco,£8.

I have the electric handbrake in my other vehicle,I quite like it,it is mounted centrally,so suits left or right hand drive. Not sure about the rotary shifter though.
