I don't think you can go wrong with either. I have been extremely happy with my Raceseng lockout and weighted knob - quality product and cool backstory.
Only ever noticed some streaking when using that product on glass or chrome but seems to work a-okay on black interior. I generally use Chemical Guys leather cleaner on the dash and follow it up with some conditioner to protect.
Meguiar's quick interior detailer does the trick for me. If you're looking for a long-term solution to dust and UV problems, maybe look into having some of the interior ceramic coated.
Install should take an hour tops for a novice and there are plenty of install videos online. If you had a shop do the install it could run you $50-$100 depending on who you go with.
Impressive work right there. You saved yourself at least a grand in the long-haul and will probably inspire others to do something similar. Thanks for sharing!
CrashOverride - no idea man. I'm guessing the previous owner followed CJPP's shift knob installation to the T. Bill uses Red Loctitie in the video so i wonder how many other owners have followed suit without realizing the future pain they are causing themselves or the next owner.

ModularKid21 - previous owner may have installed the knob using some Loctite, hence the difficulty getting it off by hand. I had the same issue and ended up using a heat gun and strap wrench to get the knob off. Come to find out the previous owner had used RED Loctite for the installation.
The previous owner of my '15 GT used red Loctite when installing an aftermarket knob from CJPP, likely after watching Bill do the same in their instruction video. I ended up using a heat gun and rubber strap wrench to get the knob off.
