This s550 was spotted coming out of the Voice of the Customer Fleet building on oakwood? If so it means nothing as to aftermarket. Roush does testing out of there, i worked for em. Its not aftermarket testing. Its all ford.
Had a thought today, I believe that ford had this front in the works since at least the first coyoted s197s... This being said I believe the 13-14 refresh was to bridge the gap so to speak between the original 10-12 fascia and the s550s. Think about it, this jump is nowhere near as harsh as it...
I've seen several silver mules a ton. Especially between flat rock and Detroit along 275/75. I kinda freaked out and called my dad when I first saw one. Lol being a ford worker in Ohio hs response was an unenthusiastic "cool"
Ha I haven't seen a s550 yet I wish. Considering my daily driver is my 08 gt. Size difference would be obvious. If i see one and can get pics i will. But i can tell you by my days test driving for ford. They don't just park full camp cars anywhere if can be avoided.
I live at the by 94 and 275 cross over near Michigan ave and yeah there are freaking everywhere if you keep your eye out. Seen a Kia camo car broke down on much yesterday. Hell when we used to go to little ceasars the same boss 302 m plated engineering vehicle would be at the subway next door...
Its not that far off. The s550 has to have a more realistic roof line for visibility, right? Doesn't mean it's not taking ques from the giugiaro and evos right? yeah yeah the giugiaro is an old design. But the s550 would been in the design process. Guess at this stage anything is possible.
Why is it the more I look at these spy pics I see slimmer, giugiaro (spelling?) concept underneath. So gets me thinking. Giugiaro concept mixed with evos styling cues?
Ricky35,
When we were test driving high security vehicles with Roush we where told by a ford executive not to allow the vehicle to be photographed to the best of our abilities. We could take alternative routes If a photographer or what not is spotted. But if in a parked location and someone is...
Sadly there will be someone watching all night. Heck when I test drove for Roush driving FoMoCo vehicles I had a 13 facelifted flex I wasn't aloud to leave alone when we stopped for 5mins to pee. Now if these cars are almost ready for production. It'll be the Roush guys driving. But do to just...
Haha I don't know a ton. I was just a entry level driver. But a lot of the people i worked with and talked to had inside knowledge. Plus im right outside Dearborn. So I may have a chance to get some pics knowing the test routes once camo comes off.
Hey im Tom, originally from Ohio attending school in Canton Michigan, worked for Roush test driving preproduction and production vehicle for FoMoCo. I bring some of my knowledge of the inner workings of ford testing program. My father is ford a Ford employee so I am proud to be a blue oval nut...
