It took my local Ford dealership 45 days to replace my engine. My first engine went through 2 quarts of oil in 545 miles during the oil consumption test. Ford performed a compression test and found that the walls on cylinder #3 were badly scored. So far so good on the new engine, but i haven't...
Agreed, by no means am I even hinting at any fault of the engine builders, I have great respect for their knowledge and trade, and am sure that each one of them takes great pride and satisfaction in what they do. I'm sharing simply to help aid in the collection of data. I wouldn't be surprised...
Much thanks 300BlackOut for taking the time out to gather and put all this data together. Being one of the guys on this list, it's helpful to me to see what the possible causes are with the others that are also having problems.
Just wanted to complete the data that you're tracking:

My service advisor told me a few days ago that Ford has given the "green light" for my new long block, but I haven't received any confirmation on when the new engine is to arrive. Ford did an oil consumption test, in approximately 550 miles my engine consumed 2 quarts of oil. Apparently there...
I'm currently driving the loaner car (Ford Fusion), and have had it for about 10 days now. My service advisor said that I won't pay anything besides filling her up since my car is under warranty.
So an update on my oil consumption. Brought it in to my local Ford dealer and they did an oil change and marked the dipstick levels for an oil consumption test. Brought it back 546.6 miles later, 2 quarts low. That's 273.3 miles per quart, at that rate I would be adding 1 quart every time I fill...
That's what's strange about it, I haven't seen any blue smoke, and I do keep an eye on the rear view mirror when I floor it. (for flashing red and blue lights) I did experience a puff of dark smoke last weekend when I did a WOT to 8k but no smoke other than that time. However, my tips are...
Love my GT350, handles like a dream and the sound never gets old.
Unfortunately I'm one of the few that's experiencing abnormal oil consumption rates. It's been 2,059 miles since my oil change 3 months ago, and I've added 5 quarts of oil since then. (a quart at a time to maintain the level...
When I first got my 2017 GT350 (16.6 miles on the ODO) the shifter was quite notchy, it was difficult downshifting from 3rd to 2nd, but it loosened up nicely as the miles packed on. Mine shifts great now. (6,700 miles)
I’m also considering the Ford Extended warranty, been comparing plans and thinking about getting the base one, don’t think I’ll need coverage for powered seat adjustments with my Recaros.
Always nice to see fellow 350s driving around, just this weekend while at a red light, a dad was pointing at my car to show his son, just as another metallic 350 pulled up next to me. Double trouble!
I work next to John Wayne Airport but it wasn't me! (Magnetic) There's a de-catted black GT350 that occasionally works in the same building as me and it's louder than the planes taking off!
