Prototype S550 Saleen Parts?
Sorry, this isnt wheel related but I thought it was very interesting.

So one of the guys in my building seems to work for Saleen. He ALWAYS has the newest Mustangs/Camaros/Challengers with the full Saleen performance packages.

The past few months he has been driving this bad boy around:

This past weekend I noticed he hes been enjoying the S550, upon closer inspection it looks to have some prototype Saleen parts.

Nothing crazy, I only noticed the front grill and trunk so far, but I'm sure I'll see more parts appear as development progresses

Found some info on the Saleen 302 here

Maybe this is the car? Although I'd expect them to be farther along with release being ~20 days away.

What do you guys think?

I am impressed since they are basically bankrupt. However, I am also happy to see them working on parts for our cars. I hope they straightened themselves out.

I dig the grill. The tail. Nope.

Stay far away from Saleen given the financial state they are in.

I would buy the grille. I always loved the Saleen SN95s and Fox body Mustangs

I would take anything from Saleen with a grain of salt. Saleen has a history of showing renderings and then protoypes, after that, nothing much. They did that with the last gen mustang and the Tesla and nobody really paid attention to them anymore, because they owed millions to the banks and currently has less then $7,000 in their account. Hard to run a company when you are flat broke. Unless they find a financial backer, this is just another prototype that will eventually go away.

I believe thats the Saleen 602 Black Label Camaro (Convertible)
I think he uses this as his normal daily driver, though it seems like he never drives it

He also has a Pink Saleen S197 (which I believe is his wife's), looks pretty much just like this

Thats the Saleen Foursixteen :headbang:

Their current financial state is even more reason to support them. The more money they get the more they can use to make future editions. GM went bankrupt and people kept buying those cars, why leave an independent (primarily Mustang) tuning company to fall when Saleen has produced some of the rarest and bad&$$ Mustangs up to date. I would totally buy a Saleen over a Roush but that's just my preference.

That grill is as good as mine if it gets released. I prefer it over the RTR grill and I LOVED that one.

:lol:screw saleen and his junk.
