i have a mishimoto intercooler but was looking at it today and noticed that even though i upgraded to a bigger intercooler, doesn't change the fact the actually only a little bit of the intercooler is noticeable. i also noticed that the grill in front of the intercooler has many creases but only some off them actually let air pass through to the intercooler, the other holes are for show. so i was wondering if the intercooler would benefit in any way if i remove this grill in front of the intercooler and if so, is it a hassle to remove?

You guys just put the lower Gt style delete? Are you not worried about the inter cooler taking a hit?

I bought a GT lower and cut the honeycomb out with a body saw, you could use a jigsaw but watch the corners. Sure it's not protected as much, but I don't tailgate so I don't worry about it......

I only paid $56 shipped off the bay for mine....

What kind of hit? I drive 90% highway and have over 16,000 miles with no lower grill with no issues. I guess it if I lived on some back roads or something I might possibly have some concern but for where and how I drive I don't really worry too much...anything that I hit around here a grill wouldn't help.

been thinking about a grill delete. I never smack anything on the road, just the annoyance of the bugs hitting the IC is whats stopping me

i am buying the lethal performance lower grill delete for the gt. it looks amazing and is priced well considering how much things for these cars cost.

I guess you could always spray it off with a hose if it was a problem
