14mpg last fill up again lol
Challenge for you
Run a tank of gas. Don't hit boost pressure.
If you are still under 25 mpg There is something wrong with the car.
The only way I can get below 18 mpg is to be No or Full throttle all the time.

Right now I'm (sort-of) hypermiling and I'm at 24.1mpg. Approx. 900 miles on the car.

It's very hilly here, so staying completely out of boost is a real challenge. On the other hand, I've also been a lot of downhill clutch-in drifting.

If WesleyEng is honest about 14 mpg, something is wrong with his car. IMO
14 mpg is terrible even for a heavy foot GT
Happy I am to have the Mustang without the lower mpg of the GT
Sport+ woks best for me when hilly and traffic
24.7 overall according to computer. 6,000 miles so far
29 on trips. (SF to SanDiego...mostly flat, Grapevine takes it toll)
Turbo takes on the Grapevine with ease

If by drifting you mean coasting, you should consider leaving it in gear, clutch engaged...fuel should be cut like this. Clutch in, the computer will still fuel to maintain idle...

Tried both; seems to make no difference.

More accurately, recently switched to clutch-in trying to get over 24 mpg - no difference.

I have only had my convertible for a couple of weeks with minimum mileage on it. I have always driven conservatively. From the first day from the dealer I have been getting an 'overall' average mpg in the high 20s. On several freeway trips I have been averaging low 30's. I have been using 91 octane (highest available in MN). Can't wait until the engine is broken in.

IIRC;
This might be bad for the tranny since manuals don't have a pump and rely on splash lubrication.

I don't think the EPA takes in account for REAL CITY traffic like in NYC. Just the other day I got sun-burnt for being stuck in traffic for nearly an hour just to travel 14 miles! All this stop and go along with my woosh woosh fun every chance I got, I can imagine 14mpg lol.

Last week I filled up on the way to work and decided to see what I could get for mileage by really trying to keep my foot out of it.

My commute one way is 24.5 miles on suburban roads (no hiway) with 7 traffic lights that typically I hit about 1/2 green. The speed limit is mostly 45 dropping to 35 in business areas.

I was able to get 37.8 mpg for that commute but it was back down to my typical 28.5 mpg when it was time to gas up again.

I was wrong. I was inverting digits, and they were for the overall since purchase (21.4 mpg). My current pappy-mode mpg is a lousy 22.8 over about 1/4 tank.

I'm about over this experiment because pappy-mode is no fun.

I've averaged around ~25mpg for my last two tanks, working on tank 3. I'm sitting around ~24.8 atm.

24.3 avg over 3100 miles which is all the car has. Can average 27 if I'm easy on it.

14.5mpg from today's fill up. The cluster estimated 15mpg.

I'm still only at a couple hundred miles and just came across this in the driver's manual. I'm also trying to stay under 2k rpm on this tank and I'm already well over 20mpg lol

It is bad for automatic transmissions to coast in neutral manuals don't care, but that is after a few miles of coasting. And the engine will shut the fuel off when the clutch is engaged, but you can coast further when it isn't engaged. Using the clutch is better when slowing down isn't necessary, and using engine braking is better when you know you need to stop (it also saves your brakes).
