Been a while, any updates?
hmmm.....
anxious for mine as well....
Weekly updates are couple weeks outdated.

Sorry, I decided to not send out the last few weekly updates as there is nothing to update. As was said in the last update the machining process will be completed at the end of March. Once the machining is complete the parts will be sent to the welder and then to plating. Expected ship date is mid to late April.

UPDATE!

I wanted to let you guys know that the sheet metal parts are complete and inspected. Everything looks good and once the hose fittings/cap cylinder arrive the tank will be welded together!

The .100" sheet metal is intentionally offset .050" to allow full root penetration during welding... you will never know once the tank is welded together.

Now that I'm a vendor I can upload some pictures that I've been waiting to share and give you a full update shortly. The tanks are currently being welded. They will be done and on to anodizing ASAP!

The cap adapter below has two internal diameters (with proper lead in chamfers) that are controlled to +/- .001" for a proper seal with the O-Ring. The Buttress threads are also very unique and something that I had never seen before. The specification that controls the thread profile is in German and had to be translated over to English to ensure everything was spot on. For now enjoy the new pictures! The bleeder hole ensures that the tank bleeds air exactly the same as the OEM tank.

Wall's?

Now I can actually ask my question after reading through the Mishimoto thread. Why can't I see inside walls (baffling) on this tank like they are in the original tank? Mishimoto did put some in because they are important, as far I understand the function of this tanks.

Isn't the tank there for coolant expansion? Its not a fuel tank with a motor that needs a constant supply or the engine will blow up.

I'm not saying the Mishimoto tank isn't well thought out, but I highly doubt having your coolant slosh around in the tank is a big deal. They appear to be the only ones with the baffles and replacement tanks aren't something new.

Just a thought.

My guess is the baffles help with the sound of the sloshing.
