I know it couldn't be true, but tonight driving home from work in Alexandria, VA, I swear I saw what looked like it could have been a magnetic 350R going the other way. I could see as it approached it was an S550, but as it got closer, it looked...different. I caught a glimpse of a front chin spoiler, it was definitely lower, and had a significant black rear spoiler. The headlights looked different too, as did the hood.

There's no way it was, right? It must have been a standard GT with some aero mods.

Ford has said many times that "all" the body work from the windshield forward is changed. They pointed out that the radiator support structure is a carbon fiber reinforced molded part now instead of steel. I look forward to the numbers actually being added up but I'll guess the complete front structure is in the neighborhood of $10,000 to make the conversion. Remember that the price you pay for Ford parts is NOT what ford pays. I dropped my tail light and it shattered the replacement cost me $700 for one tail light.

Could be. It was a quick glimpse and my eyes could have seen what the wanted/hoped to see, but I swear the spoiler, while similar in shape and profile, was larger.

I remember hearing a ford engineer say that this will be the normal spoiler for the GT350. They realised that the little spoiler didnt work well enough after they initially revealed the car.
