What is the status of the engine now? "Needs engine work" is way to vague.
What mods were made? Who did them? When?
What is the nature of the failure? How did it happen?

Hello OldbutNew. Thank you for the reply. The engine still runs. It’s pretty much stuck in limp mode. I took it to a mechanic and he plugged the car in and determined there was hole in the cylinder wall going between cylinder 6 and 7. I did not get a 2nd opinion.

VMP and JMS tuned the car. I did not do any mods on it myself. I bought the car like that. But I have the paperwork translated to text to what was done to it and also the repair sheets that I personally did.

It just happened unexpectedly, I was driving at around 85mph then all of a sudden it lowered the RPMS and just limped from there. I have not drove it since. Check engine light continued to flash.

It can be a very nice car if it is properly fixed. Very rare car. You don’t see them too much. I hope I answered your question! Any more questions, just ask!

So you bought the car with all the mods already done. But you took it to a shop in March. It looks like they replaced spark plugs and replaced the CAC coolant. Then unlocked the PCM and did a custom tune.
The car has 25K miles. How many miles were on it when you bought it?? How many miles since the new tune??

Brandon, I hope you understand that I'm just asking the questions that anyone interested in buying this car would ask. Your original post was met with a lot of skepticism. The more information you can put out here, the more you can dispel that skepticism.

That is correct. I bought the car with roughly 22,500 miles on it. Only put a couple thousand miles on it and then the check engine light is flashing. Like I said, I did not get a second opinion on it. But I trust this mechanic. I maybe put another 1000 miles on it since the new tune.

The Carfax private party value is at $71,860. The mods on the car don't add any value in my opinion. So you have roughly $20K in there to replace an engine. If you are capable of DIY at that level, you might get there. If you have to PAY someone to R&R, or do pretty much anything...

The colors and options on this car don't float me boat. And I'm overbooked, or I would have a look.
