Taxes on the Glen Ridge house where 28,000 a year ,
..taxes on the Connecticut house 7,000 a year. Totally different lifestyle , it's like being off the grid out here.

nothing like Essex County taxes to ruin your day! I'm in Morris county for past 31 years. When I moved into my house in 1991, taxes were around $3,500/year. Now there just north of 10K but still cheaper than Essex.

Take a look at Zillow, at 34 Forest Avenue Glen Ridge New Jersey and you'll be blown away at the taxes, Southeastern Connecticut is 1/5 of that for a larger plot of land
